"Ahem, that concludes all lessons for today."
Mr. Tanaka announced somewhat cautiously from the podium.
He was terrified of waking the soundly sleeping figure.
He actually thought Jin had gotten better...
Seeing Obito covered in bandages in numerous places, Mr. Tanaka shuddered.
He had really gotten ahead of himself these past few days!!!
Ever since that combat assessment, Mr. Tanaka had noticed Jin didn't seem as terrifying as he'd imagined.
At least he showed some restraint.
Mr. Tanaka had actually started to relax, planning to interact with Jin more normally.
He at least wanted Jin to pass the Three Basic Jutsu exam and the previous written tests.
He even reprimanded Jin once or twice.
At the time, Mr. Tanaka had felt a secret thrill, feeling like his previously timid self had finally grown a spine!!!
But seeing Obito's miserable state now made Mr. Tanaka fearful just thinking about it!
Jin was just a little devil! Absolutely not to be provoked.
However, thinking about his task for today, Mr. Tanaka felt his lips twitch.
"Um, Kurenai, Rin, could you two wake Jin up?"
After all the other students had left, Mr. Tanaka asked Kurenai and Rin very politely.
"Ah, okay, Teacher."
Kurenai and Rin found Mr. Tanaka's demeanor rather amusing.
In their view, Jin wasn't that scary at all; he was actually a very nice person.
"Jin-kun."
Kurenai and Rin gently shook Jin with their small hands.
Hooo— Snore—
The response they got was Jin's snoring.
To ensure a good drop from that one slash earlier today, Jin had really drunk quite a lot.
So, he was sleeping exceptionally soundly.
"Teacher, Jin is really tired today. Is it something important?"
Kurenai and Rin called out twice more but found Jin deeply asleep.
Unwilling to disturb his sleep, they asked softly.
Hearing this, Mr. Tanaka's lip twitched.
Tired? All Jin did today was drink and sleep.
Oh, and corner Obito to slash him once.
Could slashing Obito have tired him?
"Lord Hokage wants to see Jin."
If it were an ordinary matter, Mr. Tanaka wouldn't be so persistent.
But Lord Hokage wanted to see Jin, and he had been given the task. He really had no choice.
"L-Lord Hokage?!"
Kurenai and Rin exclaimed in surprise.
"J-Jin-kun won't be in trouble, will he?"
"Teacher, Jin didn't mean it! He just accidentally nicked Obito. We can vouch for him!"
Kurenai and Rin grew anxious, thinking Lord Hokage had found out about Jin cutting Obito these past two days.
"No, it's not about that. It should be good news," Mr. Tanaka waved his hand, seeing Kurenai and Rin's worried expressions.
He was so certain because he knew Lord Hokage seemed to have always kept an eye on Jin.
Even when his previous colleague was severely injured by Jin, Jin faced no consequences.
The person capable of arranging such a thing—did one even need to guess who it was?
If Jin got away with severely injuring a teacher—
Obito had merely gotten scratched; how could Lord Hokage possibly trouble Jin over such a minor thing?
"Well then..."
Seeing Mr. Tanaka repeatedly reassure them, Kurenai and Rin exchanged glances.
Heave ho—
Watching Kurenai and Rin expertly drape Jin's arms over their shoulders, Mr. Tanaka's eye twitched.
Judging by their practiced movements, this wasn't the first time Kurenai and Rin had done this.
So, those two hadn't intended to actually wake Jin up at all!!!
Mr. Tanaka felt helpless. If it were any other students, he could reprimand them sternly.
But Kurenai and Rin? Because of their connection to Jin, he didn't dare.
"Let's go. Lord Hokage is in the Principal's office."
Mr. Tanaka said, leading the way.
The Hokage wasn't just the village's supreme leader but also the honorary principal of the Ninja Academy.
Just like that, Kurenai and Rin carried Jin, following Mr. Tanaka to the Principal's office.
Knock— Knock—
"Enter."
Hearing the voice from inside the Principal's office, Kurenai and Rin couldn't help but feel nervous.
This was the Hokage, Konoha's supreme leader.
They had only seen him once before, during the entrance ceremony.
Click—
"Lord Hokage, I've brought Jin."
Mr. Tanaka entered the room and spoke respectfully to the figure seated behind the principal's desk.
"Ah, Jin is here?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was processing documents, put on a kindly smile.
He looked up towards Jin.
And then... his expression froze on his face.
"Jin! You damn brat!!!"
