(Sunny's POV)
By the time I reach my rundown shack it was already night time and with nothing else to do I decided to decided to sleep with a empty stomach
At midnight I suddenly wake up with a voice speaking in my head

then suddenly I felt a intense pain throughout my whole body , it was the kind of pain I have never experienced in May life , it was like his whole body was being pierced by hot needs in every inch of his body, I tried to scream but no voice came out , each second was feeling like ages until everything came to a stop, I was lying on the ground panting , but then the black screen appeared in front of him with white text on it

Then I finally understood what was happening and my blood started to boil with rage
"What the hell! All that pain just because I faied some quest ?!" Is almost shouted with rage filled voice,but fearing that it might happen again I started to pay attention to the text. Six hours ,it want me to do that in six hours and with a empty stomach. I gritted my teeth remembering the pain and started to get up to do the quest .....

Currently I was running complete out of breath in the middle of the night like some crazy person
'just a little more , just a little more ' i reminded myself while running
The voice notified

Hearing to it I immediately collapsed on the ground panting
'Huh, what inventory give me my reward now' i thought while thinking about the promised meal, as soon as I thought about getting the reward and a plastic container popped out of nowhere , I immediately went after container and opened it and soon a delicious aroma filled the air but I didn't care about the aroma and started to devour the food in it , it the first meal I had in several days and my boy it tasted heavenly to say the least , it was not that discusting syntpast that he was used to but real food . Soon I was on the verge of crying as tears started to fill up my eyes and started to blurr my eyes , while eating the food only one thought came to my mind 'it was worth all the effort he put in '
After having my emotional breakdown I returned to my rundown shack and took a seat on my makeshift bead and started to think about all the things that have happened to him in span of a day , first the eerie black screen, then the the quest and the pain that come after failing it , he don't is want to think about it let alone experience that again , setting my thoughts aside I focused on the system, I imagined opening the system and a black screen appeared in front of me with white text on it

After studying my status one thing is very clear , it was utter trash. I can only sigh in resignation, it was useless thinking about it . Next was 'inventory' it was like a storage space I can access anywhere
'it will be a problem somebody see me using it ' I sighed mentally , I have to be careful
Though I was quite interested in System shop but unfortunately it was locked and looks like system points can only be used in the system shop , so they are both useless for now
I was lying on my bed with may eyes closed, soon the sleep came and I lost myself to it

It was morning time and sunny was sleeping peacefully in his makeshift bed but was woken up by a voice in head

Sunny looked at the screen while rubbing his eye which were still blurry after he woke up , after reading the message sunny released a heavy sigh and got up from the bed to do the quest ,but he failed to notice a wide grin forming on his face

Time Skip 1 year ~
About a year had already passed since sunny first received the system by its enigmatic creator, though sunny had his initial doubt about the system and its origin and specifically why it chose him of all people but he stopped question it after some time as he was not reaching to any conclusion
Over the past year sunny has changed a lot , no changes would be an understatement it was like he had gone through an evolution , growth was abnormal to say the least being influenced by the effects of the system
He was not the scrawny little kid he once was , the first noticable difference was his height , he was significantly taller than before standing at around 175 cm tall , not a very impressive number but still better than before , his body was also in peak physical condition humanly possible. His body was lithe and yet muscular at the same time , his facial featurea has also become a little more refined although still covered in dust and grime from the outskirts
Sunny was currently sitting on his makeshift bed inside his rundown shack , eating the last meal he had received after completing the daily quest, after he reached level 10 the system stopped giving daily quest and it looks like his level was stuck at 10
In the past year he had maxed out his stats either by doing exercise given in the daily quest or by stat point received from leveling up , while eating his food he took a quick glance at his status

Apparently it looks like 10 is the limit for a mundane human and the only way sunny can think about how to go past it is ,to become an 'awakened' and the only way to become awakened is by being infected by the nightmare spell
Even if it's the only way, being infected by the nightmare spell is the last thing sunny would ever want now , and you may be wondering why ? Well it's simple sunny's life finally took a turn for better after getting the system and he do not want to loose his peacefull life , but little did he know what is stored form him in the future
After a few days , sunny was still going through his daily life , doing odd jobs here and there like manual labour which would have been impossible form him one year ago due to his malnourished and short stature, but now was different. Now he could earn a little credit by doing which was enough to survive for the day , but as if someone has jinxed his peacefull life ,
One day he suddenly started to feel dizzy at first he dismissed it bay thinking he was sleep deprived but soon he realised that the dizziness is not normal, and then sunny realised the gravity of his situation
"Damn damn damn damn " sunny started to frantically muttere while gripping his hairs with his hands
'why why why why ?! just when everything was going good why this has to happen now ' sunny thought while clutching his head with his hand
DAMNATION" Sunny suddenly shouted with emotions leaking into his voice
