Chapter 11 – The Final Page

"That's enough…"

Yusugo reinforced his shield, pushing back the waves of darkness surrounding them. Akishi's sword flashed like lightning in front of Fushiken, but the power of Fushiken's script was still active.

"So, even the two captains have arrived," Fushiken said coldly, his voice lifeless, "But it's too late. What I've begun… cannot be undone."

Bokuro, Kitsui, Gekjin, Yamakaze, and Nensudo were badly worn out. Tatsuto still lay wounded on the ground.

"I still need... time," Bokuro whispered to himself.

Kitsui leaned toward him. "What are you thinking?"

"I tried reading his script… every time I felt pain. But I saw one thing. His script's last page… it's incomplete."

Nensudo was surprised. "That means if we destroy that page before it's finished…"

Bokuro nodded. "He'll lose. His soul won't be able to bind that power anymore."

Akishi, overhearing, said firmly, "Then we'll distract him. And you… finish that script."

Fushiken raised his hand, summoning the shadow army again. But Yusugo and Akishi now fought at full strength.

Yusugo's emotional script unleashed waves like sunlight, shining through the gloom. His script was now a beacon of hope and light.

Fushiken growled, "Why don't you understand?! Only death brings peace!"

Bokuro dashed forward. Lines of his own script shimmered in the air. Kitsui and Nensudo created a path for him.

Fushiken realized it—"No… you're going for the final page!"

He rushed to intercept Bokuro, but Gekjin and Yamakaze blocked his way.

"We won't let you through!"

Bokuro reached the floating black book. Its pages fluttered in the air. The final page—barely written, glowing with a strange dark light.

"It ends here…" Bokuro whispered, raising a shining slash from his own script.

With one clean motion—he tore through the last page.

CRACK!

Suddenly, all of Fushiken's powers started unraveling. His shadows fell apart. His eyes widened in horror.

"No… I wasn't finished yet…!"

Bokuro calmly said, "We're all unfinished. But we don't hurt others to complete ourselves."

Fushiken collapsed to the ground. His script burned away. He was just a soul now—without strength, without darkness.

Moments later—silence.

The soldiers vanished. The shadows disappeared.

Yusugo and Akishi lowered their weapons.

Tatsuto was carried up. Everyone was wounded—but no one had died.

Kitsui looked up at the sky.

"One war is over..."

Bokuro picked up the burnt page from Fushiken's script.

"And a new story still waits to be written."
