Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: The First Taste

Monday morning at the office felt different. A palpable tension hummed beneath the surface of the usual professional decorum. Min-Joon and Yuna avoided direct eye contact, a subtle awkwardness lingering between them. Yet, the memory of their moment at the bar hung heavy in the air, an unspoken secret binding them.

During a late afternoon meeting, Min-Joon found himself needing a specific document from the archives, located on a lower floor. He casually asked Yuna to retrieve it.

Min-Joon: Ms. Seo, could you please get the project report Alpha-7 from the archive? It's on shelf B-12.Yuna: (Her voice slightly higher than usual) Of course, Mr. Park. I'll get it right away.

As she left, Min-Joon leaned back in his chair, a flicker of anticipation in his eyes. The archives were usually deserted at this hour, a dimly lit space filled with forgotten files — and he had made sure the door's lock was a little... temperamental.

Minutes later, his office phone rang.

Min-Joon: Park Min-Joon.Yuna: (Her voice a breathless whisper) Mr. Park… I found the file. But… the light in here keeps flickering. And the door... it's stuck.

Min-Joon's lips curved into a knowing smile.

Min-Joon: Stay calm, Ms. Seo. I'll come down and take a look.

Hanging up, he felt a surge of adrenaline course through him. It was reckless, dangerous — and yet he was already moving, his footsteps echoing in the empty hallway.

At the archive door, he heard her faint voice.

Yuna: Mr. Park? Are you there?Min-Joon: (His voice low and husky) I'm here, Yuna.

He swiped his access card. The door clicked open.

Inside, the room was dim, the fluorescent lights casting flickering shadows. Yuna stood near the entrance, eyes wide — with both apprehension and unmistakable excitement.

Yuna: Oh, thank goodness. I tried the handle, but it wouldn't budge.

Min-Joon stepped inside, the door closing behind him. His gaze locked onto hers, the tension between them thickening.

Min-Joon: It's probably a faulty mechanism. I'll report it.Yuna: (Holding the file, knuckles white) Yes. Here it is.

She took a step toward him. So did he. The air felt heavy, charged, the space between them shrinking.

Without thinking, Min-Joon reached out, his fingers brushing her cheek. Her skin was soft and warm under his touch. Her breath hitched.

Min-Joon: Yuna...

Her name was a low murmur filled with restrained longing. Her wide, searching eyes reflected the same war between hesitation and want.

Yuna: Mr. Park... we shouldn't...

Her voice was shaky, the words lacking conviction. Her body leaned slightly toward him, betraying her true feelings.

Min-Joon's thumb traced her jawline.

Min-Joon: We shouldn't. But I can't seem to help myself. Not after the other night.

He lowered his head, lips hovering above hers, close enough to feel her breath, warm and quick. Her scent, delicate and floral, wrapped around him, intoxicating.

Yuna: (Whispering, eyes fluttering closed) Nor can I.

And then, he kissed her.

The kiss was tentative at first, a soft exploration. But as weeks of pent-up longing surged between them, it deepened. His arms encircled her waist, pulling her flush against him. Her hands, still clutching the file, trembled before rising to rest on his shoulders.

The flickering lights danced over their intertwined shadows, silent witnesses to their forbidden embrace.

Time melted away, replaced by the urgent thrum of heartbeats and breathless sighs.

When they finally broke apart, both were breathing heavily, their eyes locked in a dazed tangle of emotion.

Min-Joon rested his forehead against hers.

Min-Joon: Yuna... this is...

Yuna: (Whispering shakily) I know.

He saw fear and exhilaration flicker across her face — and knew they had crossed an irreversible line. The first taste was too potent, too dangerous.

Min-Joon: We have to be careful. No one can know about this.

Yuna nodded seriously, clutching the file tighter to her chest.

Yuna: I understand. Our jobs... everything...

Min-Joon: This stays between us. Hidden. In moments like this.

Gently, he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his touch lingering longer than necessary. The urge to kiss her again nearly overwhelmed him.

Min-Joon: I should fix this door. And we should get back. Before anyone notices.

Still dazed, Yuna nodded, the passion of their kiss still lingering in the tremble of her lips.

Min-Joon fiddled with the mechanism, finally managing to jiggle it open. As he glanced back at her, the dim light caught her delicate features, the soft curve of her mouth, and the vulnerability in her eyes.

A fierce wave of protectiveness — and desire — surged through him.

He knew this was just the beginning. The forbidden was too seductive. And now that he had tasted it, he doubted he could ever resist it again.🔥🤫💋
