Chapter 10 - The Secret Getaway

The private jet's cabin hummed as Emma stared out at the cotton-ball clouds. Daniel's fingers traced idle patterns on her bare knee—a scandalous contrast to his crisp CEO veneer.

"Still thinking about Thompson's face?" He smirked, handing her a mimosa.

She sipped, the bubbles tickling her nose. "I'm thinking you just kidnapped me."

"Kidnapping requires resistance."His thumb brushed her inner thigh. "You packed lingerie."

The plane hit turbulence—or maybe it was just his touch.

Bali unfolded like a dream:

- Daniel bargaining fiercely with a street vendor for mangoes

- Midnight swims where his hands learned her curves without office lighting

- The morning she woke to find him watching her sleep, his expression terrifyingly tender

"Tell me something real,"Emma murmured on their third night, tracing his scar—a childhood accident he'd never discussed.

Daniel caught her hand. "I bought the company next to yours."

She bolted upright. "What?"

"Two years ago."His laugh was rueful. "Best damn investment—even before I knew you'd be in it."

Emma's heart stuttered. He'd loved her longer than either admitted.
