Chapter 482 - Chapter 118: Love is Possessive

Miss Jun didn't know about what was happening outside and didn't care. After Ning Yunzhao was sent out by Fang Chengyu, Miss Jun continued sitting down, preparing to read her master's handwritten notes.

"Liu'er is still happily repeating that Young Master immediately came over when he knew we were back."

"That's very normal," Miss Jun said.

At first, he invited her to come back together, but she declined and expressed her determination to stay in the capital. So, of course, he was surprised and came to ask.

Liu'er nodded.

Yes, very normal. There is a saying, "A single day apart feels like three autumns." Noble Son Ning has not seen Miss for several autumns, so naturally, he was anxious to see her.

Miss Jun looked up, saw her smile, and knew she had misunderstood.

"Also, Liu'er, don't call Noble Son Ning 'Young Master' in the future," she thought about it and said, "It's not good for him."

Liu'er was taken aback.

"Oh," she uttered, although her face was full of confusion and wonder, what's bad about being called Young Master? She couldn't see any indication that he was upset.

But whatever Miss says must be right, there must be a reason behind it.

She was about to speak when Fang Chengyu poked his head in from outside.

"Gongzhu," he called out cheerily.

Liu'er rolled her eyes at him. Miss must have also told Fang Chengyu not to keep calling her by that name. Really impolite.

But Miss Jun didn't mind Fang Chengyu's impoliteness and smiled at him.

"Has Noble Son Ning left?" she asked.

Fang Chengyu nodded.

"I personally escorted Brother Ning to the front gate," he said.

Brother Ning?

Miss Jun chuckled looking at him.

Thinking back to when she first met Zhu Zan, this boy was quite frank in calling him uncle.

This time was much more polite, probably because Ning Yunzhao helped.

Seeing Miss Jun laugh, Fang Chengyu stepped inside, grinning and taking his hands from behind his back.

"Gongzhu, want some steamed buns?" he asked.

Miss Jun had just stopped laughing but laughed again, looking at him meaningfully, not saying a word.

Just bought two?

Fang Chengyu sat down in front of her, seeming unable to look at her, only fiddling with the wrapping paper with his hands.

"I bought them for you," he said softly, as if he knew he had done something wrong but felt aggrieved.

Miss Jun still smiled without saying anything, just watching him.

"Yes, I don't like him," Fang Chengyu seemed unable to endure the scrutiny, lifted his head and said aggrievedly again, "I didn't want to give him any."

Miss Jun laughed out loud, with Liu'er pouting and glaring beside her.

Actually not liking our Young Master?

Of course, he didn't like Ning Yunzhao.

How could Miss Jun not see it? Like a child, he pretends to be generous here, tearing and twisting, but his admission is straightforward and honest.

Her laughter softened.

"Why should I like him, their family treated you so badly at the beginning."

Maybe seeing that she wasn't angry, or maybe once a bad word came out, more wanted to follow.

He simply crossed his legs and leaned closer to Miss Jun, humphing.

"Now talking about helping, who helps whom is still uncertain."

Miss Jun laughed loudly, reached out and patted his forehead.

"Stop talking nonsense," she said, reaching for the paper package on the table, "How many did you buy?"

The topic drifted away, and Fang Chengyu didn't insist.

"Four, two are left here," he squinted his eyes, "One for each of us, I've kept them warm in the kitchen, they're not cold yet."

Miss Jun looked at him, pursing her lips and smiling.

"Not bad, and quite generous too, bringing more than just one." she said.

Fang Chengyu proudly and frankly accepted the praise.

"That's right, I don't really care if he thinks I'm polite or not, after all, he's your guest gongzhu, I wouldn't want him to think your people are rude," he said.

After saying this, he glanced at Miss Jun a bit guiltily.

Miss Jun had already started eating her steamed bun and didn't pay attention to his words or any hidden agendas, simply nodding her head with a hum.

"It's not really rude," she said, followed by a laugh, "Noble Son Ning is not blind or unintelligent."

The scholar, cunning.

Fang Chengyu snorted.

"He's a grown-up who doesn't sweat the small stuff," he said, tearing a large piece of the bun and stuffing it into his mouth.

.............

Ning Yunzhao and his servant were already traveling outside Yangcheng, having left the spectators in the city far behind. Despite the busy road, everyone only spared Ning Yunzhao a fleeting glance.

"Master, you said that Young Master doesn't like you?" Xiaoding asked from behind, "I really couldn't tell."

"No need to look, you can guess," Ning Yunzhao smiled, "There's no reason for him to like me."

Xiaoding shrugged.

That really was unreasonable. With a master like theirs, being liked was a given.

"Actually, I've also noticed that the Fang Family is cautious around us," Xiaoding sped up a few steps and said with a pursed lip, "It's been so long, and they're still holding grudges. Speaking of holding grudges, we should be the ones holding them. Anyone would be startled by a crazy lady suddenly appearing, clamoring to get married, not to mention how we've been at a disadvantage. Master, you were sold for five thousand taels..."

Upon reaching this point, Xiaoding hastily stopped and stuck out his tongue.

Better not to bring up the past.

Ning Yunzhao smiled and shook his head.

"It's not because of that," he chuckled.

Xiaoding exclaimed curiously.

"Then what is it for?" he asked.

There are some things one normally wouldn't discuss, but at this moment Ning Yunzhao felt particularly inclined to talk, glancing at Xiaoding.

"Because they like her," he said with a slight smile.

Or rather, the child likes her.

Indeed, in his eyes, Young Master was still a child, though this child was managing the business of De Sheng Chang and was respectfully addressed as the boss by many older shopkeepers.

Xiaoding became even more puzzled.

They like her, but what does that have to do with being cautious around master? And again, who is he, and why does he like her?

Why like her?

Isn't it natural given anyone who gets to know her grows to like her?

There's no reason, because she is simply likable.

As for why they are cautious when they like her.

"Some likings are possessive," Ning Yunzhao said.

Xiaoding scratched his head, puzzled. Every time Master saw Miss Jun, he would speak in enigmas hard to understand, but that's understandable; the servants from the capital said that once you fall for a girl, even the smartest man can become a bit foolish.

He pulled on the reins, noticing the gates of their home getting close.

"Master, we're home," he reminded, lest the infatuated master rode past his own house gate.

Ning Yunzhao had just dismounted when someone came running out from the gate.

"Brother, where did you go?" Ning Yunyan called out sharply, full of caution, "Did you go into the city? What did you do there?"

Ning Yunzhao looked at her and pursed his lips.

Hmm, this was indeed a manifestation of possessive affection due to liking someone.
