Shigaraki is still scratching his neck with both hands mumbling "He beat me, he's not any weaker at all. Kurogiri, look what he did what he did to my Nomu…. He cheated. Dammit… was I lied to?"
"What's wrong?" All Might asks, which causes Shigaraki to finally stop scratching his neck. "Not attacking me? Didn't you say you were going to clear this level earlier? Well come and get me… if you dare."
Shigaraki gasps as he steps back in fear. "Man this is intense" Kacchan says.
"As I expected. There's no reason for us to fight now, he'll handle this" Todoroki says.
"Come on Midoriya, we should regroup with the other guys" Kirishima says "The last thing we wanna do is get taken hostage or get in his way."
No…. he can't beat them. They will end up attacking him while he's weak, I think to myself. "You guys go ahead. Even if he doesn't need it, I want to lend a hand" I say as I start walking towards All Might.
All Might takes a step towards the two Villains and asks "What are you scared?"
Shigaraki gasps a little, before scratching his neck furiously once more. "If only Nomu was here, he'd rush right now. Pound you into the ground without giving it a second thought" Shigaraki says vehemently.
"Tomura Shigaraki!" Kurogiri says leaning towards Shigaraki. "Please, do not fret. Look at him. He has definitely weakened. Nomu's attacks were successful."
As Kurogiri finish saying successful, Shigaraki stopped scratching his neck. "Other than that plain looking boy, he's on his own. The other children seem to be frozen in fear."
I stand by All Might, ready to step in front of him and say "I've got your back, All Might."
"Izuku, you should stand back and let me handle this" All Might says.
"I know what's happening to you right now All Might, it happened before. I will fight before I let them get the chance to kill you" I whisper to him.
"Look, some of our underlings are recovering and making their way over. We most likely still have a few minutes before their reinforcement arrive and what can one child do to help? If you and I work together, we can do this. We haven't missed our chance to kill All Might."
"Yeah. Yeah, you're right" Shigaraki says. "This is it… we have no choice. We have to do it now."
"Don't think I'll let you guys kill All Might!" I yell at the two Villains before me.
"The big end-boss is right before us. What makes you think you can stop us?"
"Deku! You back up All Might!" Kacchan yells out behind me.
"I think the two of them can take the two main guys. Let's make sure these dudes don't interfere" Kirishima says.
"Be careful… Midoriya" Todoroki says.
Shigaraki starts running towards us, while Kurogiri slithers through the air in our direction. "Consider this revenge for what you did to Nomu!" Shigaraki yells out.
I move in front of All Might and unleash a flurry of punches at 50% towards the two. The barrage of punches cause multiple gales of wind to blow in the Villains direction. The wind pushes the Villains back and with every new blast of wind that hits they grow increasingly unsteady.
"Ugh, this kid is annoying" Shigaraki says right before he gets blown off his feet and sent flying.
"Indeed… this child is more troublesome that we thought" Kurogiri says as he is struggling to reach All Might.
I continue to punch in their direction to keep them away from All Might until I hear a loud "Bang" sound. Kurogiri is sent flying shortly after that and screams out in agony.
"They're here" All Might says.
I turn to look and see quite a few new figures over by the USJ entrance.
"Sorry everyone!" I hear coming from that direction. "I know we're a bit late, but I got the teachers over here as fast as I could." I hear some more yelling, but can't make out what they are saying.
Some of the Villains take notice of the new arrivals and start attacking them. One of them shoots bullets from his fingers, while others charge at them.
All of a sudden, I hear a loud "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!" which I assume comes from Present Mic. His screams send quite a few Villains flying through the air.
I also see some white goo being emitted from one of the others. That goo quickly transforms into copies of the person who made it. Huh… that must be Ectoplasm, I think to myself. The copies fly through the air after the Villains and attack them.
There are a few more explosions before my attention gets turned back to the two in front of me. "Aw man…. The Pros are here" Shigaraki whines "It's game over, for real. Let's go home and try this when we can..." Shigaraki gets interrupted by several gunshots, whose bullets pierced through both of his shoulders and his calves.
"Tomura.. Shigaraki…" Kurogiri says as he covers Shigaraki in his purple shadows. Gunshots continue to be heard as the shooter attempts to penetrate the shadows.
"Let's go" Kurgori says, while engulfing Shigaraki with the shadows and shortly afterwards disappearing himself.
I let out a breath of relief and look over at All Might to see him in some twisted amalgamation form of his skinny and muscle forms. About half of his body is skinny and the other half is bulky, it's quite an odd site to behold.
"Well done, Izuku. You bought me quite a bit of time. If not for that, i'd be dead now" All Might says. "You've saved me, Izuku."
"Thanks, All Might. By the way…. Since it's already over can I talk to you about what was supposed to happen?"
"Sometime soon, but not now" All Might says just as I hear footsteps coming towards us.
"Midoriya, hey!" Kirishima yells out.
"Hey Kirishima" I say back towards him as I turn and start walking towards him. After the first few steps, I feel my body seize up in pain and I collapse.
"Midoriya! Are you okay!?" Kirishima yells as he runs towards me, but then I hear a deep rumbling sound.
I look up and see a giant brown wall in between the two of us and Kirishima. "For your safety, please stand back young man" Cementoss says. "Join your classmates at the front gate. Leave the injured to us, we can take care of them."
"Oh, gotcha. Hey Midoriya, I'll check in on you later alright" Kirishima says before sounds of footsteps get further away.
All Might looks like he just had a heart attack, but sighs in relief as he plops down on the ground. "Thanks for that. You saved my butt Cementoss" All Might says.
"My pleasure, i'm actually a big fan of yours All Might" Cementoss says. "We should sneak you out of here and get both of you to the nurse's office. Seriously, All Might. That could've been really bad."
"I had to act recklessly or else i'd be dead now" All Might says. "Just goes to show how strong those Villains really were."
"And you, young man" Cementoss says, pointing at me. "What were you thinking? Do you have any idea of how badly that could've turned out?"
"Yes… as a matter of fact, I do. All Might could be dead along with all of the other students here…" I say looking him straight in the eye.
My declaration seems to have stumped him quite a bit, but eventually Cementoss says "That does not mean you should be charging head first into danger. You are not a Hero yet, you are just a student. The actions you have taken could have legal repercussions, do you understand?"
"Cementoss!" All Might yells out. "Enough…. Izuku saved my life, cut him some slack will you?"
"Fine…. But please don't make this a habit young man" Cementoss says
"Yes, sir" I say.
"Anyway… let's get the two of you to the nurse's office. She'll get you fixed up" Cementoss says as he starts moving the floor below us. Two bed-like constructs push us up off the ground and then start moving us away from this location.
We head off to the far side, where a side entrance is located and exit. Outside, a vehicle is waiting for us. We are hoisted inside and start riding back to the school.
"All Might…" I start saying.
"What is it Izuku?" All Might asks.
"Do you think that I did the right thing?" I say.
"You saved my butt, but don't worry about that legal nonsense for now. You did good Izuku" All Might says.
"That's not what I'm talking about" I say as I sigh.
"So what's the problem?" All Might asks.
I sigh again before saying "Well… I knew that was going to happen…"
"Oh, that" All Might says and is silent for some time, but break it with a laugh "Don't worry so much kid. Do you think that things would've turned out better if you told us?"
"Yes.." I almost immediately say.
"In the long run?" he asks again, which makes me think for a quite a while.
"I couldn't know, one way or the other" I say.
"Exactly. Now, we will have a talk about what should've happened later. For now, let's rest" All Might says. I nod and slowly feel my eyelids growing heavier until I fall asleep.
I awake to orange rays of sunlight peeking up just over the horizon. I slowly start to sit up on the bed, but someone yells out "Oh no you don't Izuku. Lay back down and rest, don't make me get your little girlfriend in here." I look over and see Chisa standing next to recovery girl.
"Chisa neechan?" I say and then look around and see All Might in the bed next to me. I look between All Might and the two of them, which she seems to catch.
"Don't worry about All Might's little secret. When I started working here, they told me. I was also told that you are keeping a secret from your neechan" Chisa says as she starts walking over towards me with a scowl on her face.
"Do you know what it is?" I ask tentatively, as Chisa moves her face mere inches away from my face.
"Yes, I do and I am very disappointed in you…" Chisa says.
"Enough Chisa!" Recovery Girl yells out, which causes Chisa to flinch. Chisa backs away, but as she does, she pushes me to lie flat on the bed.
"Sorry Recovery Girl" Chisa says as she takes a seat at the end of my bed.
"Really now… you are my assistant. I get that you know the child, but you have to think of his well being first and foremost" Recovery Girl scolds.
"I'm sorry, but this is my way of showing that I care about him" Chisa says as she pats my leg.
Recovery Girl sighs, but then another voice pipes in "You know… if a patient is trying to sleep, maybe tone down the yelling a bit.."
"Sorry All Might" Recovery Girl says.
"It's alright" All Might says.
"Speaking of yelling, I can't really do that" Recovery girl says.
"Huh?" All Might says.
"I can't yell at you for him being here, because it wasn't your fault" Recovery Girl.
All Might groans a bit before saying "Yeah, that might not be true. Either way, I think I shortened my time limit from fighting with Nomu, as Shigaraki called it."
"We'll have to test how long that is later. For now, focus on getting better" Recovery Girls says.
"Well, no use worrying" All Might says as he sits up. "These things happen."
Suddenly the door to the nurse's office opens to reveal Tsukauchi in a tan trench coat. "Excuse me. Hi, All Might. It's been a while" Tsukauchi says as he takes off his hat and walks into the room.
"What the hell!?" All Might yells out, which cause him to cough out some blood. "I didn't know that you were investigating."
"You sure it's alright for him to see you like this All Might?" Chisa asks.
"It's fine, this guy is alright" All Might says "His name is Naomasa Tsukauchi and he's my best friend on the police force. He's legit, I trust him"
"Just on the police force, huh All Might" Tsukauchi says chuckling. "Sorry to cut to the chase, but we could really use any information you might have."
"Hold on, before all that. Tell me all the students are okay" All Might says. "How are Aizawa… er… Eraser Head and Thirteen?"
"Not counting this boy and Shinso, the only student injuries were scrapes" Tsukauchi says "Aizawa got away with minor scrapes, but Thirteen is sitting in the hospital with severe lacerations on his back. I'm told he will pull through though, so you can relax."
The two of us sigh and All Might says "that's good to hear."
"If you Heroes had not risked your lives, the students would never have made it" Tsukauchi says "The three of you saved that entire class of kids today."
"See… that's where your wrong" All Might says. "You have to look at the whole picture. Those same students also risked their lives today. They fought as hard as us, some… more than others."
"Thanks All Might" I say.
"I don't think there's ever been a group of first years, who experienced a real fight like this so early in their training. They not only survived, but they learned what it means to be a Pro" All Might says. "Those Villains made a mistake attacking them. This class is strong and filled with both courage and drive"
"Mark my words… they'll become great Heroes. Izuku is already one in my books" All Might says as he looks over at me. "This young man did what no other student did, he saved me."
Tsukauchi whistles a bit before saying "well on behalf of the police force young man, thank you."
"You're welcome" I say blushing a bit.
Chisa laughs a bit before saying "You better tell your girlfriend to watch out Izuku. If word gets out, she'll have quite a bit of competition."
"No she won't.. Momo is the only one for me, I love her" I say earning a few curious looks for Tsukauchi and All Might. "What?"
As soon as I ask that, they both laugh and All Might says "Sorry Izuku, it's just not something you often hear com out of a fifteen year old boy's mouth."
"I agree on that" Tsukauchi says. "Back in my day, I would've loved if there would be girls throwing themselves at me."
I shake my head at that, before realizing something. "Hey… where's Momo?"
"Last time I checked, she is waiting in your classroom. She came by several time, but I told her that she needed to wait outside. Took quite a bit of convincing, luckily Chisa helped coax the young lady to go back to the classroom" Recovery Girl says.
I quickly sit up and get off the bed when a pair of arms stops me. "Whoa there, hold on. You aren't going anywhere yet" Chisa says.
"But…" I say.
"No, buts. Gheeze… looking to get back to your wife already?" Chisa says, teasing me.
"Wife?" All Might, Tsukauchi and Recovery Girl say at almost the same time.
"It's a running joke that Chisa neechan has about me and Momo" I say. "She likes to tease us at every opportunity."
"You know… you used to be a lot cuter when you were a kid" Chisa says "but lately you have gotten a lot more handsome. Hmm… maybe neechan will have to steal you from her disciple."
"Chisa neechan!" I yell out as I blush.
Chisa laughs for a bit before grabbing me all over my body. "Anyway, it looks like your fit as a fiddle once more. You think, he's good Recovery Girl?" Chisa asks.
"I'm sure he'll be fine. Get going young man, the young lady your so taken with, is quite upset" Recovery Girl says.
"Thanks" I say as I run out of the nurse's office and to the classroom.
