Chapter 567 - Chapter 567: Didn't Expect This! What I Pulled Out Is Bigger Than Yours

"You will be my queen. This is not a request, but a declaration. The will of the gods cannot be defied."

Poseidon's tone was like the calm sea before a storm, serene yet filled with silent oppression.

Ordinary beings, and even some gods, couldn't remain calm before Poseidon. Under the oppressive aura of this Sea God, they would find it difficult to maintain their will, abandoning thought and instinctively yielding to divine power.

However, Amphitrite, who could make the sea and stars accompany her, was no ordinary nymph.

She had a gentle yet unwavering will.

Feeling the terrifying pressure emanating from Poseidon's grand figure, the sea nymph was almost suffocating, but she still spoke with difficulty, once again refusing: "Great Sea God, I respect your stature and acknowledge your divine power, but please allow me the right to refuse."

The Sea God smiled and said calmly, "I do not allow it."

As he spoke, the seawater gathered under his will, forming a shark silhouette several meters long that leaped from the sea, aiming to capture Amphitrite forcibly.

Seeing the water shark breaking through the moonlight and rushing towards her, Amphitrite looked panicked.

With a splash, she dived into the sea, creating countless crystalline droplets.

Once in the water, the sea nymph, out of fear of the Sea God's authority, swam frantically away from Naxos Island. She merged with the water, moving quickly.

The shark, which had frightened the nymph, was frozen mid-air. With a gentle wave of Poseidon's hand, it shattered and dispersed into droplets, falling back into the sea.

Watching the fleeing sea nymph, Poseidon shook his head slightly, a doting expression appearing on his face.

"Stubborn nymph, the sea is my domain. How could you escape my grasp in it?"

Poseidon knew he had frightened the nymph.

Despite his domineering nature, he felt a certain leniency towards this nymph who had touched his heart. Thus, he decided to give her some time to calm down.

He beckoned with his finger.

Ahead, the sea naturally formed a whirlpool, and a dolphin with a demigod aura was transported over.

Poseidon's symbols of worship included dolphins, fish, bulls, and tridents. This dolphin, blessed by Poseidon, was no ordinary dolphin, and it was certainly capable of chasing down a sea nymph.

"My lord, what are your orders?" The dolphin spoke, half of its body emerging from the water.

"Do you see that sea nymph?" Poseidon pointed in the direction of the fleeing nymph.

"Play a game of chase with her. When she is exhausted, bring her back to my palace. Then, I shall marry her as my queen."

Poseidon stroked his chin and smiled.

The dolphin nodded, "As you wish, my lord. I will bring the queen to you."

Poseidon's body turned into water and disappeared, returning to his palace, where he closed his eyes to rest, patiently waiting for his queen's arrival.

While he waited, suddenly, a small sun appeared, descending to the sea bottom.

"Hmm? Apollo?" Poseidon opened his eyes and looked at the 'small sun.'

The 'small sun' emitted dazzling light in the sea, illuminating the vast ocean. However, this brilliance lasted only for a moment before it all converged into a youthful figure, exuding the energy of a sunrise.

He wore a crown woven from laurel flowers, his smile captivating, as if he were the center of the world.

Indeed, it was the Sun God, Apollo.

"Poseidon, I've missed the days of drinking and enduring hardships together with you."

Zeus, the God-King, was autocratic, arrogant, and stubborn, often causing dissatisfaction among the other Olympian gods. Once, under Poseidon's lead, he conspired with Apollo, Hera, and Athena to rebel.

Taking advantage of Zeus being lulled to sleep by Hera, Poseidon, Apollo, and Athena worked together to seal and imprison Zeus.

Unfortunately, their internal conflicts, driven by power lust, allowed Zeus to escape, resulting in the rebellion's failure.

Due to their familial bonds and the other gods' persuasion, Zeus, though enraged, did not kill those who plotted against him, instead punishing them.

Poseidon and Apollo were stripped of their divine powers and banished to the mortal realm, where they suffered humiliation and hardships arranged by Zeus.

Having shared such suffering, a bond of friendship formed between them.

"Is your kingdom open to me? Shall we drink together again?" Apollo's voice reached Poseidon's ears.

Poseidon, who always harbored ambitions for the throne and dreamt of replacing Zeus, valued Apollo as a potential ally.

"Apollo, you came at the right time."

"I have found my queen, a sea nymph. I shall marry her and hold a celebration."

"Oh? Congratulations, that indeed calls for a celebration."

Apollo smiled and entered the Sea God's Palace, engaging in pleasant conversation with Poseidon.

However, as they conversed, Poseidon failed to notice the cold glint in Apollo's otherwise sunny gaze.

This 'Apollo' was undoubtedly the Eternal Sun, come to assist Garon.

The real Apollo was still in the heavenly Olympus, not descending to the mortal realm.

The Eternal Sun did not possess transformation abilities as strong as Faceless Garon's, but as an ancient god, he had some shape-shifting skills, albeit with some flaws that risked being seen through.

However, it depended on the target.

The nature, authority, and personality of the Sun God Apollo and the Lord of Dawn overlapped significantly.

By showcasing his aspect as the Lord of Dawn and adopting Apollo's appearance while emanating the aura of the Sun God, he was almost indistinguishable from the real Apollo.

If he were to impersonate another god, the Eternal Sun might reveal flaws.

But impersonating the Sun God was relatively simple for him.

As the 'Sun God' conversed with the Sea God, the Aegean Sea under the night sky.

The sea nymph panted heavily, her body occasionally merging with the water, then reappearing, showing signs of fatigue, but she didn't stop fleeing, pursued by the dolphin Poseidon had sent.

Splash!

Under the moonlight, the dolphin leaped from the sea, causing a spray of water before diving back in.

It flicked its tail, swift as lightning, creating a straight line of waves, parting the water like scissors cutting fabric, only for it to close again behind it.

"Nymph, stop running."

"The sea is the domain of the great Sea God. No matter how far or long you run, you cannot escape his grasp."

"The will of the gods is unbreakable. Even if you leave the sea, the Sea God will flood the land to get you. Your fate is sealed."

The dolphin coaxed as it chased, not pressing the nymph too hard.

"The great Sea God has fallen in love with you and wants you as his queen. This is a divine honor."

"What you are resisting is what countless sea creatures long for."

The dolphin believed that the nymph was destined to be queen and should not be angered. It continued to chase her, waiting for her to tire before taking her to the Sea God's palace to meet Poseidon.

Hearing the dolphin's words, Amphitrite's face darkened.

She could feel her strength gradually depleting.

Running now was merely a comfort. Deep down, she knew she could not escape Poseidon's clutches.

She had heard of the Sea God's deeds.

A violent and domineering god who would raise storms and tsunamis at the slightest displeasure, wreaking havoc in the name of punishment. But as one of the twelve Olympian gods, who could punish him?

Growing increasingly desperate, the sea nymph looked up at the sky.

Stars, large and small, like pearls, dotted the black velvet-like night sky, just as beautiful as the night she first met the Seagull God.

At that moment, she remembered the Seagull God's parting words.

In times of danger, she could call upon him, pray to him.

"But can the Seagull God defeat the Sea God?"

The sea nymph hesitated.

She felt the Seagull God was mysterious, having witnessed his power, but compared to the mighty and infamous Sea God, she wasn't sure who was stronger. Out of fear of the Sea God, she doubted the Seagull God could match him.

As she pondered, the dolphin closed in.

"Nymph, do not resist your fate."

"The will of the gods cannot be defied," the dolphin said again.

The will of the gods... The nymph's heart sank, the Seagull God her only lifeline.

She stopped hesitating and prayed to the Seagull God.

"Great Seagull God, Amphitrite, the sea nymph who once pleased you, calls upon you again."

"I pray for your attention."

"I pray for your hearing."

"I pray for your response."

In an instant, a familiar deep voice echoed in the sea nymph's mind.

"I hear you."

Garon responded.

The sea nymph recounted her plight to Garon, then said, "Seagull God, if you cannot resolve my predicament, please do not concern yourself. I will face my fate with grace."

A reassuring, steady voice answered again.

"Do not worry. Leave the rest to me."

Suddenly, the sea around the nymph felt warmer.

She sensed the Seagull God's presence and obediently allowed him to act.

A drop of water silently enveloped the nymph's body, covering her completely. Then, as if nothing had happened, everything remained silent.

In the vast sea, the 'sea

 nymph' continued fleeing in panic.

After a while, the sea nymph, exhausted, stopped running.

The dolphin sped up, approaching her, circling and gently persuading her.

"Nymph, just accept the Sea God."

"The great Sea God controls the sea and all waters, possessing supreme authority, noble, sacred, and majestic. The rumors about him are mere misunderstandings."

A few minutes later, the nymph sighed softly and said, "Alright, I am willing to be the Sea God's queen, as long as he won't regret it."

The dolphin rejoiced, leaping out of the water and diving back in, saying, "Nymph, wonderful! I will take you to the Sea God's palace. I guarantee you'll be mesmerized by its grandeur."

Then, sitting on the dolphin's smooth back, the sea nymph was carried to the Sea God's palace.

The prosperous kingdom beneath the deep sea came into view.

Glowing fish, pearls, and some unique fluorescent sea plants dispelled the deep sea's darkness and cold. Coral, giant shells, sea snails, and other structures formed buildings in various shapes, while numerous sea creatures like octopuses, squids, and sharks, mostly intelligent, lived orderly lives.

The dolphin, carrying the sea nymph, seemed to hold a high status in this kingdom.

It moved unimpeded through the bustling underwater realm.

On the back of a colossal sleeping whale stood a magnificent golden palace.

"Nymph, have you ever seen such a prosperous kingdom or such a grand palace? Compared to the Sea God's domain, kingdoms on land are like pearls in the sea compared to the moon in the sky, incomparable."

"This will be your home from now on. Feel honored."

"You are indeed fortunate to become the Sea God's queen. It is a rare blessing."

The dolphin spoke with envy to the sea nymph.

Sitting gracefully on the dolphin's back, the nymph gazed at the golden palace, her eyes narrowing, her voice soft and melodious, "Perhaps you are right, this is my fortune."

A moment later.

Accompanied by the dolphin, the sea nymph passed through layers of palace guards, entering the deepest part of the Sea God's palace, the chamber of the great Poseidon.

"Nymph, the great Sea God is waiting for you."

"Go, embrace your fate."

In front of Poseidon's chamber door, the dolphin bid the nymph farewell, swimming backward until it disappeared from her sight.

Turning around, the sea nymph looked at the chamber doors.

Poseidon's palace was grand and seemed built for giants. The chamber doors alone were dozens of meters tall, made entirely of gold, engraved with magical silver depicting various tales of the Sea God's exploits, and adorned with colorful, radiant gems.

"My queen, come forth. I have awaited you for a long time."

With a creak, the golden doors opened inward.

The sea nymph timidly entered, encountering two gods.

One was the robust, aggressive Poseidon, and the other was the youthful, handsome Sun God Apollo, exuding a vibrant aura.

The nymph stood at the door, not daring to move.

At this moment, Apollo glanced at the nymph. Their eyes met briefly before she lowered her head, avoiding his gaze out of fear of divine power.

"Poseidon, I'll leave you to your pleasure."

Apollo smiled, turning his gaze from the nymph to Poseidon.

"No need to hurry. I will hold an official wedding banquet later, inviting the gods."

"Until then, my golden palace has many rooms. Stay and rest; I have commanded that beautiful nymph servants attend to you."

Poseidon laughed heartily, his joy unconcealed.

For Amphitrite, he truly felt love at first sight, determined to make her his queen.

Apollo nodded lightly, brushing past the nymph, leaving Poseidon's chamber to rest in another room of the golden palace.

In the flowing water, the golden doors slowly closed.

Poseidon strode towards the sea nymph, his muscular figure approaching, his golden hair flowing wildly with the water.

"Stubborn nymph, the will of the gods cannot be defied."

"I told you, you belong to me."

His gaze was domineering yet carried a hint of affection.

Sensing her unease, Poseidon rarely showed his gentle side, speaking softly, "Stubborn nymph, become my queen, and the boundless sea and all its waters will surge for you, dancing in your honor."

"You will gain power second only to mine, free to do as you please in the sea."

"If you wish, we can walk on land. I am willing to flood the lands you love, making them part of the sea, your domain."

Poseidon, one of the twelve Olympian gods and brother to Zeus, showed his gentle side. The stark contrast from his usual demeanor made the nymph pause, her resistance and fear towards him fading.

Feeling the nymph's changing mood, Poseidon smiled and continued softly, "Amphitrite, my beloved nymph, I ask you earnestly once more, will you be my queen?"

The nymph hesitated for a moment, then shyly nodded.

"I am willing," she whispered.

Poseidon, overjoyed, stepped forward and wrapped his arm around the nymph's slender waist.

His gaze was passionate, "My queen, you shall rule the sea with me."

As he spoke, he leaned in to kiss her soft lips.

At that moment.

The nymph's shy expression turned cold and resolute.

Inside and outside the Sea God's palace, the fish, the flowing water, the swaying seaweed, the communicating sea creatures... everything froze, a still image.

Including Poseidon.

As a powerful deity, Poseidon had some resistance to the sudden time freeze.

Caught off guard, his pupils shrank to pinpoints, his divine blue light flickering, trying to break free from the temporal stasis.

Due to the rapid thoughts, time seemed to slow down.

Poseidon saw the nymph's mouth curl into a broad smile, silver-white scales covering her skin, and long dragon horns growing.

"Surprised, Poseidon?"

The nymph's voice was now a deep masculine tone.

The nymph's body remained, but her head had turned into a dragon's, poised to kiss Poseidon, jaws wide, revealing rows of dragon teeth.

In this life-or-death moment, divine power surged from Poseidon, trying to stir the sea and alert the gods.

However, a sun rose inside the Sea God's palace, its tangible light enveloping the palace, sealing time-space fluctuations, preventing widespread effects.

Bang!

At a point-blank range, Garon, revealing his true form, unleashed a temporal shatter breath, engulfing and pulverizing Poseidon's upper body.
