"If I want to replace Poseidon... for safety's sake, I'll need the assistance of the Eternal Sun."
Garon decided to contact the Eternal Sun.
With the ability of his Faceless Avatar, he estimated that he could defeat Poseidon, but Garon's goal wasn't just to defeat him. He wanted to usurp Poseidon's position, seamlessly integrating into the twelve Olympian gods.
This would make things more difficult.
If it was just about defeating Poseidon, Garon wouldn't need to place the sea nymph as a hidden piece.
With Garon's intervention, Poseidon would likely suffer a significant setback due to the sea nymph.
However, this wasn't foolproof.
After all, being in a multiverse that didn't belong to him, even a slight misstep could lead to unfavorable consequences. It was possible that he could fall here.
Faceless Garon had a premonition that if he fell in the Olympus multiverse, he would truly die, unable to revive in the Great Ring multiverse.
This primal intuition, akin to great divine power, often represented reality.
For this, he needed the Eternal Sun's assistance.
If it wasn't absolutely necessary, Garon would rather not involve the Eternal Sun, as this would mean he would have to help the Eternal Sun obtain the sun's authority as a favor in return.
However, considering they were both in the Olympus multiverse and both belonged to the Great Ring multiverse, mutual assistance could handle more troubles. This was acceptable, especially since the initiative was in his hands. The Eternal Sun wouldn't be satisfied with just one sun's authority and would need Garon in the future, Garon silently thought.
With this in mind, Garon communicated with the hidden Eternal Sun through the Time Alliance contract.
"Ammanata."
With a simple call, Garon immediately received a response from the Eternal Sun.
"Garon Aurelian... It's been a while since we last communicated. How is the Great Ring multiverse doing?"
The Eternal Sun's usual serious and cold voice echoed directly in Garon's mind through the Time Alliance contract.
Though the Eternal Sun's voice was cold, Garon felt that he was genuinely pleased to receive his communication, given the immediate, unhesitant response.
After all, being alone in a different multiverse, constantly on alert, was a taxing task.
"After the Second Dawn War, the Great Ring multiverse has recovered from its wounds and is thriving."
Garon replied succinctly.
"That's good. If the Pantheon faces another crisis or if you encounter trouble, you can call me back."
The Eternal Sun was indifferent to the Pantheon, saying this out of regard for Garon, willing to extend a favor.
After a pause, the Eternal Sun asked again, "How about you? Have you successfully ascended to the level of quasi-great divine power?"
Though he asked, the Eternal Sun had his own speculations.
This was a communication after three hundred years. Given Garon's growth rate, it was likely he had broken through from quasi-medium divine power to quasi-great divine power in that time.
Garon candidly and calmly said, "Of course, for me, it was a natural, inevitable process, insignificant."
There was no need to hide his breakthrough.
Simultaneously, the Eternal Sun responded, "Achieving quasi-great divine power with the ancient dragon body, and also having a medium divine avatar, your growth rate is astonishing."
The Eternal Sun didn't know that not only had Garon's true self ascended to quasi-great divine power, but also his divine avatar had become a powerful deity. Moreover, he had a stronger Faceless Avatar capable of contending with the Eternal Sun at its peak.
"Congratulations on reaching the top of the divine pyramid and formally becoming one of the powerful beings."
"If I were in the Great Ring multiverse, I would present you with a gift. For now, I'll owe you one."
The Eternal Sun said.
This ancient god's attitude toward Garon was warm and friendly, as he relied on Garon to achieve his own goals, needing Garon's assistance.
Garon said, "No need for a gift, but I do have a small favor I need your help with."
"What is it?"
The Eternal Sun was a bit puzzled.
"I am now, like you, in the Olympus multiverse, specifically in the Aegean Sea. I trust you know its location."
Upon hearing this, the Eternal Sun was silent for a moment, then calmly said, "I've been expecting your arrival."
"Together, if we face Zeus alone, even the God-King wouldn't be our match."
The silver dragon smiled slightly and said, "For now, let's set Zeus aside. My current target is his brother, Poseidon, the Sea God."
...
Aegean Sea, Naxos Island.
Amphitrite raised her head, welcoming the sea breeze with a faint salty scent, gazing at the sky.
The endless, cloudless blue sky reflected in her sky-blue eyes, as if the sky embraced the ocean, merging together.
At the same time.
The sun, hanging high in the sky, seemed to have become slightly brighter, casting a warm temperature.
After playing with the fish in the surrounding sea and walking along the edge of the beach until noon, Amphitrite left the beach and headed into the depths of Naxos Island.
In the lush olive grove, the golden sunlight streamed through the dense canopy, forming dappled spots of light where it filtered through.
The seven sea nymphs stayed together, weaving crowns from olive leaves and adorning them with bright flowers.
Various gentle creatures, such as egrets, nightingales, butterflies, and the nine-colored deer, played with them, serving as their audience, captivated by the sea nymphs' beautiful songs, creating a harmonious and delightful atmosphere.
Day after day passed like this.
Time flowed silently, unhurriedly.
Since not much time had passed, Amphitrite often thought of the Seagull God. Her time with the Seagull God was short, but his majestic aura left a lasting impression on her.
However, she did not call or pray to the Seagull God, as his final instructions were to call upon him only in times of crisis.
One moonlit night.
Amphitrite and her sisters danced on the nearshore beach under the moonlight, their light veils flowing and sleeves fluttering.
Among them, Amphitrite's dance was the most graceful.
Her waist was as flexible as if it had no bones, capable of displaying various postures. Yet, under specific rhythms, she could be as forceful as a thunderstorm, making her the most captivating among the seven sea nymphs on the island, so enchanting that even gods would be enthralled.
As she danced, the ocean naturally surged, playing a harmonious melody to accompany her, with even the starlight on her becoming brighter.
Among the fifty sea nymphs, Amphitrite's dance was the most beautiful.
When they danced together, the other six nymphs seemed like her companions, akin to green leaves to a flower. However, having spent a long time together, they held no jealousy toward each other, simply immersed in their singing and dancing under the starry sky.
Meanwhile, as the sea nymphs danced, the sea playing a natural symphony and starlight cascading down.
In the distant depths of the ocean beyond the Aegean Sea.
A grand kingdom stood quietly in the depths of the sea.
In the deep sea, which should have been dark and lifeless, this area was bright and vibrant, with naga riding giant sharks patrolling, bizarre sea monsters lurking on the seabed, and countless gill- and scale-covered humanoid creatures bustling about, living orderly lives in the underwater kingdom, making their homes in the colorful coral-formed buildings.
At the center of the underwater kingdom stood a magnificent golden palace, carried on the back of a colossal whale lying motionless, eyes closed as if it were dead.
A faint trident mark could be seen on the whale's forehead.
Around the golden palace, many sea creatures worshiped.
"The ocean's song... for whom does the sea sing and play?"
In the golden palace, a low whisper went unnoticed.
The whisper belonged to a tall, robust man, a god.
He wore a simple white robe tied around his waist, his upper body bare, revealing muscles that seemed carved from stone.
He had flowing golden hair, a coral crown on his ruggedly handsome face, and blue eyes that held the changing storms of the sea.
This golden palace, also known as the Sea God's Palace, was the residence of Poseidon.
The god, squinting slightly and listening intently to the ocean's song, was Poseidon.
Having not heard the ocean's song for a long time, Poseidon, after a brief thought, stood up, his three-meter-tall figure deciding to see who had caused this song.
Splash!
Poseidon's body turned into water, merging with the sea.
In an instant, he appeared in the Aegean Sea, surrounding Naxos Island, forming his body from the water.
Poseidon stood on the waves, exuding a ruler's presence.
Bathing in the moonlight, he followed the range of the ocean's song, gazing at Naxos Island under the night sky.
At first sight, this god saw the dancing sea nymphs among the starlight, particularly Amphitrite.
Her graceful yet powerful dance was reflected in Poseidon's eyes.
The stars twinkled, the waves surged, as if celebrating the sea nymph's dance, even captivating the Olympian god Poseidon.
He did not notice that as he admired the nymph's dance, a cloud above Naxos Island was also silently watching him.
After a long time, the sea nymph's dance ended.
The intense
starlight gradually faded, and the rhythmic waves returned to chaos.
"What a beautiful dance, what a beautiful nymph."
Poseidon's ocean-blue eyes rippled with emotions, his heart swayed, and he whispered, his eyes filled with excitement.
Like his brother, Zeus, Poseidon was also very amorous, leaving many lovers. However, while Zeus had Hera as his official consort, Poseidon did not, as he had never met a woman who aroused such desire in him.
But tonight, Poseidon saw his queen.
Never before had he felt such a strong desire to possess the nymph who had just danced with the sea and the stars. Her unparalleled beauty was imprinted in the Sea God's heart.
"Now, you belong to me."
As the ruler of the sea, a god with a dominant and aggressive nature, Poseidon already considered the sea nymph as his possession.
"...The fish has taken the bait."
Observing Poseidon's reaction from the cloud, Garon thought silently.
When he looked into the river of time, he had discovered the sea nymph Amphitrite's connection to Poseidon. Given his presence in the Aegean Sea, within Poseidon's domain, he decided to make Poseidon his target, first making contact with the sea nymph to influence and control the situation.
Additionally, after becoming a quasi-great divine power, Garon understood the true principle behind his future sight.
His future sight was essentially an observation of parallel timelines.
In contrast, many so-called future predictions are based on large data sets to make integrated analyses and predictions of future developments, something many gods can do.
But Garon was different.
What he saw as the future was actually choices already made in parallel timelines, events that had already happened in some timelines. Although the future is dynamic and even small factors can cause changes, this provided a more reliable reference than ordinary future predictions.
If there were no unexpected events, things that happened in parallel timelines would likely happen again.
From the parallel timelines Garon had observed, Poseidon fell in love with Amphitrite at first sight, forced her to become his queen, and because of her unwillingness, the innocent sea nymph became melancholic and eventually grew cruel and harsh under long-term oppression.
Poseidon had already appeared in Garon's sight, but now was not the time to act.
Acting rashly and failing to deal with Poseidon quickly would only attract the attention of the Olympian gods.
It was best to strike when Poseidon was most relaxed, ensuring success without giving him any chance to react.
As the sea nymphs finished their dance and frolicked on the golden beach.
Boom!
Like a sudden thunderclap, the sea surged.
Under the startled gazes of the sea nymphs, amidst the splashing crystal-clear water, a towering wave rose hundreds of feet high, soaring into the sky.
Poseidon stood on the waves, backlit by the night sky, his mighty figure blocking the moonlight and stars, casting a shadow over the nymphs.
At the same time, dark clouds gathered, strong winds roared, the sea churned, and the entire island trembled as if an earthquake was occurring.
The imposing Poseidon looked down at the nymphs and spoke.
A deep, thunderous voice echoed between the sea and sky.
"I am one of the twelve Olympian gods, the brother of Zeus, the controller of the endless sea and thousands of waterways, Poseidon!"
With an unquestionable tone, he gazed at Amphitrite, "Sea nymph, tell me your name!"
Under the Sea God's pressure, the nymphs trembled with fear.
"You, you can call me Amphitrite."
"Great Sea God, it's an honor to meet you."
Amphitrite answered softly, filled with awe and a bit of panic.
"Amphitrite, your dance has captivated me."
"Would you like to be my queen?"
"This is a position coveted by countless sea creatures, an honor for you, a grace from me."
Poseidon asked directly, his tone high and mighty. Though phrased as a question, it was also non-negotiable.
Hearing this, the sea nymphs were slightly stunned.
Amphitrite bit her lip, showing hesitation and reluctance.
Under Poseidon's oppressive gaze, she softly said, "Great Sea God, I am just a small sea nymph, unworthy of your majesty, unfit to be your queen."
Boom!
Naxos Island shook, the sea nymphs almost losing their balance.
"Are you refusing me? Refusing a god's grace?"
Poseidon's tone was calm, but the pressure increased. Behind him, the wind howled, waves surged, and the surrounding air seemed to solidify.
Amphitrite bit her lip and softly said, "Great Sea God, I just want to live carefree with my sisters. You have better choices."
Being refused, Poseidon did not get angry but smiled, his aggressive gaze sweeping over the nymph.
"Repeatedly refusing a god's grace."
"Amphitrite, your courage and persistence surprise me. You have successfully piqued my interest further."
Pausing, he said calmly, "You will be my queen. This is not a request but a declaration. A god's will cannot be defied."
