Chapter 347 - Chapter 347: The Sea Monk

"JESTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

His scream echoed across the streets, running against the soft rainfall that was starting to come down. His friends were in hot pursuit, with Stolas having to set up Drago to keep up with the Card Magician, seeing his friend be angered beyond belief. Veins bulging out of his head, a manic grit on his teeth, his hands sharpened as he tried to chase after the person responsible. After a couple of minutes, the person responsible for the attack would be lost, making the boy rage by kicking the stone pavement and nearly carving a hole into Khepros' shell, wanting to kick a rock across the now wide ocean beside him. "YOU CAN'T RUN FOREVER!!! I'LL FIND YOU, YAH SI-" He'd shout, trying to catch his attention, before Solomon stopped him once the trio caught up.

"Hey! Hey! Your dad said to not throw random insults around! Let's try to calm down here. He's not gonna get out, not with the storm coming up." He'd retort, letting Harvard catch his breath.

"DID YOU NOT JUST-"

"I did. Trust me, I did. He's not escaping us, I promise you that. If we rage out like an animal, though, it's gonna be harder to find the guy. You'd give yourself an aneurysm if you keep going like that."

Harvard would ball his hands into a fist upon hearing such words, yet would take a deep breath. "Right.....Right....Right. Need....to cool it. Need.....to-"

SHIKK!!!

A Strike right across Stolas' cheek, forcing the three to get off of the dragon as the Avian tried to protect himself. Harvard was fuming like a volcano upon seeing such an underhanded tactic. A Spell was casted to fire an orb of light at the direction of the shot, blowing up the area in a white light. "TRY THAT AGAIN! TRY THAT STUNT AGAIN, YOU BASTARD! I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU SO MUCH AS BLINK AT THEM AGAIN! TRY ME!!!" He'd scream, attempting to assert his dominance further, setting up another spell of such force and gravity to pull the target in, hoping to pin that person down further. As he'd get such a card out, the land began to quake.

The waters were crashing against Khepros' body by the dozen, the ball that it was rolling nearly slipping out of its grasp. "What did I just SAID, dude!?" Solomon would remark, as he'd try to have Shady extend its reach, seeing the dim light being useless and watching his shadow blend with the environment, gritting his teeth as he saw his weakness coming into light.

"Well-...I just-....You just-...Y'now what, no. I can't excuse myself. That's on me." Harvard would lower his head in shame as he recognized his fault, having him cast such a gravity spell instead to modulate their footing, trying to stay upright and hold themselves together as the scarab was nearly tipped on its side, the barrier quickly activating as the beast emerged from the east. A humanoid monster, with no features to be seen within the cloudy morning, the storm starting to intensify by its existence. Its only source of color was its round eyes, a rainbow of it flowing freely, a river that repeats itself. Despite not having a mouth, it bellowed out a heavy roar that nearly shattered the windows of the buildings in Khepros, its arms opening wide so that it can try and swat the sound responsible.

Solomon would be quick on setting up a barrier, with Harvard casting a spell on the Barrier to reinforce it, adding a second layer. Even with that, it would show cracks on the impact, as well as the humanoid reeling its arms back for another swat, aiming to try and break part of its shell off. Zazel would try to cast Asmodeus on the barrier, whilst Harvard would try to repair it with a Potion, letting Solomon expand it and push back the hand, letting it be stunned so that he can cast the first plague onto its deep waters, letting it take a denser form and make it weigh a bit more. Despite this, the beast would merely shed itself, taking in the water from below and removing its top layer, a tsunami of blood against Khepros, buildings beginning to drift and cracks being made more and more once such waters broke in. Stolas would try to alleviate much of the liquid being poured in with his stars, blasting away massive amounts of them in order to act as a wall, boiling and evaporating the blood before further damages were made.

The Humanoid was starting to get angry.

In a second, the creature grabbed ahold of the Scarab's underside, picking it up by such a side before violently flipping it over the ocean. Three flips it did as it acted as the monster's Coin, citizens having to use their Artifacts for defense and to not be dragged across Khepros' shell, the children rolling around the barrier and taking heavy injuries before it finally crashed down to the sea, its body upside down as it scrambles to be on its feet again, yet the beast didn't gave it a chance. It readied a heavy elbow drop into the Scarab's Center, breaking the shell in half and having the barrier crack as a result, sinking it all straight down, lives being lost as a result. The amount of water that stirred was too much to bear, with some folks casting magic to try and both heal the people, reinforce the barrier once more, and having it resurface back on its legs, letting it run like mad away from the massive threat.

As the Sea Monster gave chase, it would use the ocean's waves to push Khepros back into it, keeping it away from escaping its line of sight. Harvard and the others looked on at the massive menace. Aside from the Dragon, the boy can't recall the last time he had to face a beast of such enormous size face-to-face.
