"But… is that even possible?" said Yuna, one of their friends, with a trembling voice. "Isn't that girl the one who got first place along with William during the Entrance Exam?"
"Not a problem!" Annie said confidently, her voice full of conviction. "After all, we have William on our side. Plus, with Haruto Sato, we will definitely achieve first place at the Sports Festival." Annie smiled slightly, full of self-assurance.
Oliv looked at William, still unsure. "Uhm… William, are you sure we can beat that girl?"
William scratched his head hesitantly. "I don't know… I've never fought that girl directly. But, if what Annie said about Senior Haruto's training is true, maybe we can improve our skills enough to beat her," William replied, his tone reflecting deep doubt.
Annie looked at all of them, her gaze filled with a near-forcing confidence. "See? We can at least try, right?" Annie said firmly, like a leader inspiring her subordinates.
Oliv finally nodded, though her face still showed resignation. "Alright… we'll give it a try," Oliv said softly, still harboring a bit of uncertainty within herself.
Meanwhile, the three other friends sitting with them remained silent, listening without responding. Their expressions varied from enthusiastic to worried, but none opposed Annie's plan.
In her heart, Annie felt satisfied. They had all agreed to fight for first place, no matter how much Annie had to sacrifice. This Sports Festival was not just about physical competition or ordinary victory; it was about proving something, about showing that Annie wouldn't let that girl stand above her.
"Alright," Annie said with a confident smile. "Get ready, friends. At this Sports Festival, we will show everyone who truly deserves to be at the top."
The next morning, Haruto woke up earlier than usual. After freshening up, Haruto casually walked to the cafeteria. Today was the first day Haruto would train the first-year students who had asked for his help the night before.
