"No! No!! No!!! Not so fast… what to do? What to do?" Panic set in as he knew that the second mission had already began.
Cursing the system for not even telling him about the mission until few minutes ago.
Knowing that time wasn't on is side and what was at stake (Soul torture), Davi knew better.
The first punishment was already more than enough… there was absolutely no desire in Davi to return to the Abyss Purgatory.
Just then, he heard the voice of leader of the red rock mercenary group.
"Get down all of you! These are earth fanged rats, very common around these parts, whats terrifying about them is that the attack in a pack and there could be hundreds if not not thousands in a single pack"
As soon as all the travelers heard what the mercenary leader said, fear gripped their hearts especially those that where yet to awaken their magical energy and where also traveling to the capital for the exam.
The where so scared that the where shivering.
Jin looked at all these 'commoners' with disdain and he said.
"This is the world of mages… If you cannot handle this measly sight you are not even qualified to awaken… humph" with that Jin cast a fire spell.
Obliterating an earth fanged rat in an instant, as the smell of burnt meat assaulted everyone's noses, a frown could be seen on both Russell's and Davi's faces respectively
Although Davi didn't see what happened he heard everything clearly as for Russell, he slowly suppressed his anger.
Clearly he knew that Jin words where directed at him although he wasn't amongst those that where shivering he admitted deep down he knew he was scared.
This however was the source of his anger… weakness, inability to fight when he desperately needed to.
"Didn't I say I would protect you brother? Look at me I am scared… I am scared of loosing my life" He cried inwardly, but on the outside his face looked cold.
Just as he turned towards Davi almost simultaneously all mages present in the caravan did the same.
I mean, why wouldn't they do so when the nen energy was madly rushing towards Davi who had his eyes closed?
Even old man Frank could not suppress his shock… yet one question plagued remained in every ones mind:
"Is nen energy meant to be used this way?" The all thought.
Those that had not awakened couldn't understand what was happening, yet they to turned to stare at Davi.
Jin had a look of greed flash his eyes, convinced within himself that Davi must have a treasure that is making this possible.
Immediately an impossible thought flashed through his mind, although he didn't want to believe it at first, the more he thought about it the more it seemed possible.
"Could he have obtained the treasure that every one is searching for?" Jin thought.
"Yes! That must be it! How else will a slum rat like him awaken before the eam test and even terrifyingly so?" He asked himself.
Coming to this conviction he decided to take care of Davi as soon as the crossed the territory of earth fanged rat.
A devilish smile slowly formed across his face.
Meanwhile the leader of the red rock mercenary group stared in shock as he tried to understand how this was even possible?
"Could this Kid be one of them?" He thought inwardly.
Casting the thought aside he decided to focus on whats ahead for now questions can wait until they have safely crossed the territory of the earth fanged rats.

The cause of all this commotion however, was oblivious to this… in as much as Davi paid attention to his surroundings through his hearing he completely ignored the hushed discussions around him.
Right now, Davi had already condensed a drop of Asura Qi and enduring the pain he directed it towards his ears and slowly strengthen them.
While he still absorbed the nen energy like an endless abyss, his hearing had reached a whole new level!
The screenches of the rats, the heart beats of all present even the sounds of caravan moving against sold earth and more he could here it all.
Naturally he realized that his twin's heart beat was extremely unsteady… Sealing his resolve he continued cultivating the Hell of Torment.
He new that the real horde of the earth fanged rats would be attacking soon.
For now he believed that the red rock mercenary group could handle the few that jumped at them.
"I have to hurry… I have to protect Russell" he thought.
Slowly but surely, Davi condensed the second drop of Asura Qi and although he didn't know how he was supposed to strengthen the wooden staff he used.
Davi decided to divide the drop into two, using half to strengthen his hands and the other for his feet.
As soon as he finished…
"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!"
An earth rat had manged to break the net of attack of the red rock mercenaries and headed straight for him.
Since they where magic beasts, the naturally realized the nen energy swirling about Davi making him the most attractive prey in the whole of the caravan.
This, however did not go unnoticed by the leader of the mercenary group and of course Russell.
Horror flashed past Russells eyes as he thought he is going to loose his brother before the even reached the capital.
"Davi look out!!!" Russell screamed afraid that Davi might fail.
But who was Davi?
Davi is Li Kai the last survivour of the world of forsaken saints and a saint sage, how will he not know that the rats where after him with his heightened senses?
What happened next shocked everyone.
Raising his hands he punched forward with his fist colliding with the earth fanged rat, immediately after he dashed forward using his feet to smash the skull killing it in an instant.

Russell gasped as he watched, with countless questions flooding through his mind.
Not just Russell but practically everyone most especially Jin.
His heartbeat was so abnormal that it was hard for Davi to miss it, he turned to stare in hs direction which shocked Jin.
Immediately he turned to Russell and said…
"Brother should not fear, I will protect you!" Davi said as he smiled.
Russell heart was pounding faster than it ever had, like someone who just finished a cross country race.
All this while Davi had not stopped cultivating the scripture and he finally condensed the third drop of the Asura Qi.
"Brother please hand me my staff" Davi spoke once more snapping Russell out of his awe.
Immediately, Russell picked up his staff and placed it in Davi's palm.
Just as hands touched the staff.
Davi's demeanor changed, it felt like a sleeping predator had finally awoke from it's slumber.
Opening his eyes, a firm look flashed ast his eyes.
Any one that caught sight of this would feel fear from the depths of their soul.
It felt like Davi was a monster… One who has murdered countless creatures humans and beasts alike.
What was even more shocking was the fact that the earth fanged rats began to cower and not just one of them but even those outside the carven.
Besides it was the innate feeling in any creature when placed in a life or death scenario more so when there was a predator right in front of it.
Just as the rats where considering weather or not to attack the leader of pack finally appeared.
"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!"
Its dark green fur deeply contrasted the regular brown fur the other rats had making it stand out.
Of course Davi could not see this, however he knew that something big was probably coming for him.
Even the leader of the red rock mercenary group ran towards Davi in attempt to save him from what to come.
Turns out that it was absolutely unnecessary.
The pack leader immediately lunged at Davi.
Davi was at a loss of what to do because right now because no matter how he tried the Asura Qi could not leave his body.
Just when the greenish rat was about to sink its fangs into Davi's hands, something broke inside him he didn't know what it was but immediately.
The asura qi broke through the confines of his body forcefully entering his 'ordinary' wooden staff.
Just then he heard the cry form the leader "SCREEEEEEEEEEEEECH!!!"
This time it came from above him, immediately he raised his staff slashing in air above him.
A the staff collided with he pack leader, a rain of blood instantly descended on all those within a 1 meter radius from where Davi was basically everyone in the carven.
But everyone was to surprised to speak.
Each stared at Davi like a monster, the earth fanged quickly retreated as the saw the death of their leader.

Th voice of the 'system' rang out.
Jin finally broke the silence and at the same time dug his grave.
"Hand over the treasure… I don't know what power you used to accomplish such fit but it would be better I keep it for you before you 'mistakenly' misplace it" Jin said as an unsuppressed look of greed flashed across his eyes.
The bottled rage Davi had being suppressing finally exploded outwards and a thick killing intent was directed towards the source of the voice.
It is finally time for the showdown!
