"What's going on here?" Dom asked, his gaze shifting from Alexei to Matilda and then to me.
Oh shit.
"None of your business," Alexei spoke.
"It is my business when my girlfriend is involved." Dominic gave Alexei a hard look and on cue, Brian entered the washroom.
"Oh. Now what do we have here?" he asked in an amused tone.
An idea immediately formed in my head and the words tumbled out of my mouth.
"Dom," I said in a soft voice and went closer to him.
I put my hand gently on his arm before speaking, "He was going to kill his mother on Rosario's orders. I have spent so much time with Matilda. She is like my mother. I can't let her die like this. Please help."
He looked into my eyes as I kept my face as a mask of innocence.
I was innocent. I was just forced to be clever and scheming so that I could get my revenge.
His lips curled into a faint smile but it didn't reach his eyes, like they always did whenever he smiled at me.
