Chapter 30 - Hot and Steamy

Back at the Green mansion, Logan was listening to their ear pieces, but it was really silent. He leaned back in his computer chair, and sighed in boredom. At the moment, he was in his computer room which held several servers connected to each other. The room was darkly lit and the floor was littered with cables.

"Nothing's going on…" Logan muttered to himself as he was about to open a tab for minesweeper, "This is boring."

A finger on a monkey paw curled somewhere as in that moment, his baby son, Jake, popped in through a vent, and started commanding all the wires in the room to unplug.

Logan turned around to see his son wreaking havoc in the room. Somehow, he managed to gain the telekinesis ability and the telecommunications ability despite his son never interacting with him that day. With the way Jake was using it, he used the two abilities in conjunction with each other and commanded every machine to unplug themselves.

Logan got up and began chasing little Jake around. Unfortunately, the baby was using telekinesis to move himself around the ceiling, just out of Logan's reach.

'That's it, I'm giving myself high heels after this,' Logan thought, 'I'm too short."

He went down to the floor, placing a hand on it, and activated his soul weapon. The matter around the ceiling began to change as they changed into hands in an attempt to catch his son. Unfortunately, Jake was too fast, and Logan realized he was wasting MC cells for nothing.

Vicky ran into the room, practically kicking down the floor, "JAKE THERE YOU ARE!"

She ran up to him, using the telekinesis ability that Jake copied from her earlier that day, and floated up to him. She managed to catch the boy, and landed next to her husband.

"There we go…" She cradled him in her arms.

"He sure is the troublesome kid," Logan said as he walked up to see him giggling, "Where did he receive the telekinesis ability?"

Vicky placed her fingers between her eyebrows, and exhaled loudly, "He got the ability from me."

"I see."

"At this point, we're going to actually start acting like parents, there's no way the nurse bot can keep an eye on him." Vicky rolled her eyes dramatically.

"Hmm… a shame really, we would be losing out on time for other things." Logan walked back onto his chair and relaxed. He should really keep an ear out for Linda and Sil just in case.

Vicky walked over to her husband, and leaned on his chair, "Other things? Well, I guess we better do those 'things' now before we run out of time."

Logan leaned his head back to look at her, "I suppose so. I may need to make a few more bots to keep a closer eye on him while we get… busy."

Vicky bit her lip, "Yeah I love it when you talk dirty like that."

"Or I could request the aid of Shiro again, but he did not seem pleased from babysitting him last time."

She played with her hair as a devilish smile came upon her face, "I won't be pleased if you don't do something to me soon."

Logan let out a dramatic sigh, "What do you want from me now?"

Vicky began massaging Logan's shoulders with a free hand, "How about you spread your legs and I do unspeakable things between them?"

The two looked at each other with longing eyes, which Jake took as the opportunity to jump out of Vicky's arm, and fly back up into the vent. Upon realizing what just happened, they were slightly dumbfounded by his intelligence.

"Well, damn," Vicky commented, "I guess we know for sure he's your kid. The little guy's smart."

"Indeed he is."

"He even vented! It's like he knows about among us!" Vicky happily cheered with an infuriating wide smile.

Logan looked at his wife with the most disappointed look, "Are you serious?"

Vicky kept her shit eating grin, refusing to falter.

Logan turned towards his computer gadgets and pressed on some of them, "I'll send some robots to find him."

Vicky however, pushed him against the wall, her devious smirk already telling him that she was in the mood, "He could be found in the dishwasher for all I care. I'm going to make you need a replacement for your nest crystal."

Her hands traced around the glowing part of his torso, and Logan's mouth quivered. Jake can wait, Vicky wanted him now.

"Be careful darling, I only have one," He whispered into her ear before the two began going at it over the unplugged cables.

Back on the mountain range, Sil and Linda were watching the sun set. It was beginning to get dark. They still hadn't said much from the resting period they had earlier as there was a slight tension between the two. The area was quiet as there weren't many animals or creatures scurrying about before they heard static come from their ear pieces.

"What's going on?" Sil asked, looking at Linda.

"How did the great Logan Green's technology fail—" Before Linda could finish her snide comment, the earpiece reconnected to the satellite.

At first the two of them heard the sound of some kind of whimpering, not unlike from a dog, but it was too human like to have come from an animal. That was when they realized they were listening to the sounds of Logan whimpering on speaker. Both Sil and Linda's faces grew bright red.

"Did we really need to hear you two fuck?" Sil hurriedly asked.

"Oh shit, did I accidentally press something?" A female voice said distantly.

"Get a damn room," Sil responded back

"Having someone listen would be hotter~" Vicky's voice slurred, to which Logan's whimpers were the only sign that he was listening.

The earpiece shut off, and Linda was looking mortified.

"Why are they like—?!" She really didn't know how to put it into words as she gestured randomly, "Like— Like… THAT!?"

Sil was beginning to question if the reason Logan told him to take Linda with him was to embarrass him specifically, either that or this was a genuine fuck up on his part which could've seriously compromised their mission.

"That's not important," Sil began, shaking his head disapprovingly, "I'm going to have a serious talk with Vicky and Logan after this."

"Well you better!" Linda still looked embarrassed by the whole ordeal.

They elected to forget about Logan's unfortunate unmuting before they had arrived at this campsite. It looked a little shabby to be honest. The tent was poorly constructed, stitched together by random different colored strings and had crooked walls. The campfire's wood was basically just ash and rock mixed together with a singular burnt log next to it. It was almost a sad sight.

"Should we knock or?" Sil attempted to joke, which just got a glare from Linda.

At that moment, a man with long brown hair, and a scruffy beard came out of the largest tent. He looked shabby, his hair frizzled, and dirt all over his face. In the photos that Shiro had shown him, his old self was far more well kept, clean, and had well brushed hair, like the man took care of his appearance seriously. Currently, he looked like an echo of his former self, a mess.

"What are you fellas looking at?" The man yelled out to the two of them, stretching his finger out to point.

Linda gave the brown haired man a dirty look, "Is this seriously the leader of the infamous Bones faction? You used to cause so much trouble for the Crows back then, but now you're just a shriveled up man. I almost don't want to fight you, how the mighty have fallen, huh?"

The man did not take kindly to Linda's comment; it was as if the air around him began to burn. The late night mountain chill was suddenly being replaced by a sudden warmness as faint cracks underground were heard, and the ground shook. The fury on the man's face grew, and he slowly raised his arms.

A few cracks around the campfire burst out with lava, reigniting it. This allowed a light source to illuminate Sil's face, and the man's eyes widened as his body began to shake, "YOU! I'll never let you take me again!"

Not soon after, more and more cracks around the campsite burst out with lava, completely changing the environment as the once dark mountain side now resembled a volcano. The man got out of his now burning tent, and stood up.

"I used to be top of the world in my gang, no one dared mess with Mr. Hot, and yet that despicable man had me gagged up like an animal!" The man yelled. He then pointed his hand at Sil, "I've grown stronger since then, Hilston– How do you like THIS!"

Mr. Hot tossed his arm out towards Sil's direction as he grabbed Linda before teleporting a few feet away. The magma spread throughout the former campsite, creating several islands with lava separating between them. The air trembled with heat, and sweat began to form on Sil's body.

Even now, the fading memory of Hilston rears its ugly head. He could never escape it.
