CHAPTER 24
Alice noticed Diandra's hesitation and sighed. "Don't tell me you've never seen a car before."
Diandra turned to her with a serious expression. "I have not. But I assume it is some sort of carriage."
Alice blinked, then let out a short laugh. "Well… yeah. I guess you could say that. A really advanced, expensive carriage." She gestured toward the car. "Get in. It won't bite." She just came to terms that it was better to get along with the woman's strangeness. Even Kael had done so. It was easier than questioning her about everything.
Diandra circled around it once, inspecting it with the worries of someone evaluating a potential threat. She hesitantly reached out and ran her fingers along the car's smooth surface., then stepped back. "How does it move?"
Butler Jones opened the door for her. "You'll see soon enough. Please, Miss Diandra, step inside."
