We tumbled through the sky like debris caught in a storm.
The ruins of Tzalco shrank below us, distant flashes of mana and thunderous impacts still rattling the air. Somewhere down there, Alexander, Xhan, and Zuran clashed, shaking the bones of the world itself. Even now, the aftershocks reached us, hot winds spiraling up and throwing our already-erratic flight into chaos.
Nova barely seemed fazed. She twisted midair, tapped her wrist again, and small stabilizers unfolded, grabbing Jackal and me, once again, and let us land softly.
Reya gracefully landed, seemingly gliding for a second.
"Now it's time for introductions!" Nova said.
Reya cut her off, "Extraction is around 400 meters away. Let's first get to safety. Then I want to hear a full report of what the hell happened, and how did you even end up down there." she said, giving both Jackal and me a glance.
