Gaius frowned in confusion at the reaction of his parents.
"What are you doing here?" his mother hissed as she cluthed his hand.
"Get out" His father spat
"Whoa whoa!" He immediately ran to stand between them, a questioning look on his face.
"Mom, dad, what is it? Don't you know who he is?"
"Isn't he one of them? Zak or Zane?" His father frowned.
Gaius frowned back even Klaus, he had his mouth pressed in a thin line and his eyes were wide and a bit red.
"Him? No he is not them..." Gaius trailed off as he stared at Klaus, he understood. It seemed like Klaus still had similar auras with them since they were his half brothers after all.
"What makes you think I am one of them?" He growled, there was hatred and anger in his eyes.
Immediately he spoke something seemed to have shifted in the air and in that momment they both went from shock to surprise them disbelief and back to shock.
"K..klaus?"
"Alpha Klaus?"
He gave a curt nod.
"But how?"
"We thought you were dead, we all did" Samuel muttered.
"Well you can see, I'm not dead."
"No you are not"
"Alpha" the couple finally had a reverent and relieved look as they their head.
"Can we go inside, we don't want the seisries to see us"
"Of course, please come in" Gaius' mother, Sarah immediately ushered them in. Gaius walked in and stared at the place with a fond look in his eyes, Sarah watched him and touched his shoulders with a calm smile on her face.
"Welcome home"
He smiled back at her, "Thank you mom"
"Now, can you tell us who this young lady is? She is not pack, I can sense it" Samuel gestured towards Serena who immediately smiled at them.
"Um hello, I'm Serena Black, Nice you meet you"
Sarah smiled at her, "Nice to meet you too dear." She glanced at Gaius with twinkling eyes. "Are you perhaps my son's mate?"
"Huh? Mate?" She frowned at the strange term and looked at Gaius for help.
"No mom, she is not my mate...nor anyone else's"
Sarah deflated a little, "Too sad, she is beautiful and it would have been nice to see your mate" she smiled apologetically at her.
"So Alpha, can you tell us what happened all these years? How are you both alive. Those two had emphasized that you were dead, taken care of by them."
Klaus sat up straight, a scrowl om his face.
"That's what they thought, I escaped with Gaius after I discovered they had already killed my parents and were heading to my room. It was by luck that we managed to run before they could catch us."
"I see, I'm happy to see you both alive....but...I would advice that you go back..." Samuel spoke as he leveled a gaze at him, "...Gaius you too."
"Why?"
Sarah took a deep breath.
"They have become too strong and powerful, their reign here has brought nothing but terror to this pack. No one is free to leave and they have taken a lot of people who tried to defy them and turned them into slaves."
"He will kill you immediately he finds you here"
Suddenly, he slammed his fist on the table, everyone flinched as they saw the cracks spreading from where his fist had hit. Samuel gulped but his eyes held admiration for the pure and raw power coming from him, the little and naive boy he had known was now replaced by a strong warrior. Klaus had a scary look on his face as he stared at the table.
"The only way I'm leaving this place is when I'm dead. I've waited years for this and I'm not backing down. I came here for revenge and to take what rightfully belongs to me. No one can stop me"
Sarah opened her mouth to protest but Samuel placed a hand on her leg, he knew when someone was far determined to be persuaded out of something. This was his former alpha's, the least he could do was support him.
"We understand and we shall support you" he stood up and bowed low to him, this bow was a but different as his right hand was placed over his chest with his eyes closed, Sarah saw this and immediately did the same thing. Klaus stood up and nodded with his right hand across his chest.
"What are they doing?" Serena whispered to Gaius who had a small smile on his face.
"They are pledging their loyalty to him. Its a shifter thing, they are accepting him as their alpha"
She nodded in understanding as she watched Klaus with bright eyes, at this moment he looked so cool in her eyes. They finally sat down again.
"Like I said, I'm ready and I have a trump card" Klaus announced.
"What is that?"
"Serena?" Klaus called her, she stood up and went to stand beside him.
"She is my sigil bearer"
Samuel and Sarah immediately gasped as they gave their full attention to Serena who blushed and lowered her head from embarrassment.
"Can you show them the mark?"
Without a word, she turned and opened her shirt to display the sigil. The couple stared in wonder at the mark.
"I'm so happy, with this you can defeat them" Sarah told him.
"Have you claimed her?"
"Yes, did so the first day we met. I think my step brothers are already moving, they knew where she was staying and killed everyone there but luckily she was with us"
"They are already that fast?"
Klaus nodded.
"Not to worry, now I have even more faith in you. Alpha Klaus."
"Its a pleasure to meet you once again my dear. Thank you for arriving in time for him" Sarah told her as she clasped her hands together.
"Um thank you and you're welcome" she answered a bit hesitantly, it wasn't like she even had a choice, her eyes suddenly brightened and she looked at Samuel.
"Sir, you have been in this place for a very long time right?"
"Since I was born. Why?" He asked.
She brought out a picture and held it out towards them.
"Do you know this woman?"
