It been around 4 months since they moved here, he had given An a mana breathing technique. It was of sky grade. It was a non attributed mana breathing technique he designed himself.
It took him 3 full years years to perfect it. During that time everybody had been practicing it. Normally one can rush through the initiate realm as there was no comprehension requirements other than absorbing mana.
However due to the lack of mana stones, there were very few people who had reached the peak of the initiate realm, An being one of them so was Annie. After that incident the girl had been training like crazy every single day.
He could see Yamino watch over her. Everyday she would train with the bow until her fingers bled and she would repeat the same thing tomorrow. An had tried to talk her out of it but she wouldn't listen.
There were others who had reached the peak of the initiate realm though like Balga. He was a big guy, he was like a ball of flesh that could barely walk. He wondered how somebody could get this fat when food is this scarce.
The crops had ran out, they were surviving sorely on meat. An had decided to not eat the goats though. Atleast not the ones they had tamed, Instead they would be used as labour so a lot of awakened chose to be hunters.
He had provided everybody a book of spells and techniques for all the basic elements. He couldn't use them himself anyways and they were low rank spells but they all he had. For the past months he had been busy as well.
If he wasn't building a heater he was building the illusion mist pilla, the pilla replicated an ability from a sect called the water mist sect, they used illusions and mist as their main technique, it was actually a king grade sect so if they come after them for this he is doomed.
He had also been teaching a group of crafters. Now there was an industrial area on the village, it was still small but it would get there. He had been working on cement lately.
It was strange actually. He could make laser guns but was struggling with a mortal mixture like this. He understood why though. He knew of it existence but it was as if the knowledge on how to make it was locked in his mind.
He had to go through trial and error to get something similar. It was an accidental product really, he wasn't even the one to make it. One of the builders, a middle aged man called Rove.
Funny enough, he was actually the father of Annie, it seemed talent ran in that family. Fabro remembered he had to crush some sort of stone and clay to fine powder and mix them, he believes iron was involved but he wasn't sure.
So he just used three types of available stone mined in the mountains. With the people having become initiate realm experts, they could work faster and for longer.
They mixed glass stone, iron stone, it wasn't actually iron but it was the hardest mortal grade stone, atleast of those which are common, there were a few harder than it but were rare, and it commonly used in making the houses of nobles and the rich, they also used black rock.
It was a hard dark grey looking stone. They gathered clay from the frozen river banks. The kids enjoyed the process so they let them do it, it was not child labour, I repeat, it was not child labour ( wait, who am I talking to?)
They crushed all four material and mixed them to fine powder, they added a little bit of iron and the final product could resemble the cement in his memories but it was harder. The only downside was it hardened faster, much faster so you had to work really fast.
They used this material to build a few houses in the village, the village hall being one of them. They had low quality sands though so the houses weren't as great as he would like them to be but that was for later. Rove had added gold stone, it was neither gold nor stone but it made the cement even harder, the problem was gold stone was a very rare material, atleast rare enough to use it sparingly.
The village was coming along fine, Luke and the girls seemed to getting along well with the villagers. He wanted to get back to crafting weapons but he still had to deal with the food issue.
Now that he thinks about it, he can't delay the sand issue any lon...while lost in his thoughts Yamiko rushed in through the door. We found it. Found what? A mine, a mana stone mine.
He jumped to his feet, grade, what's it grade? Rank 3, low , she said. It not much but it will have to do right now. Since if was winter, the mana density had increased slightly, infact it was still increasing.
I'm assuming there's a guardian. Yes, it a black mother spider, sky grade rank 3, 8 rank 2 guards and the rest are rank 1. Do you intend to capture it yourselves? We await your decision.
You should talk to An about it, I promised our help will be minimal, we have no shortage of mana stones, it was true, Fabro had a rank 4 mana stone mine in his spacial dimension but he didn't intent to share it with the village unless the situation calls for it and it does not.
He watched at she left, I need to get back at my own project, I've been all over the place lately. I really need to organise my schedule, wait I could just get Yamiko to do it, yes, that a great idea, I'm so smart.
He called her, she was almost done talking to An so she arrived within 5 minutes. Yes boss, how can I help you? Congratulations you've been promoted to my personal assistant, he said with a proud smile expecting her to jump with joy at the promotion.
She just looked at him like an idiot, you do know that was already my job right? Huh? She rubbed the bridge of her nose, you really hopeless. You getting a raise.
Before he could react she was already in his face, gold coins shining in her eyes. Thank you sir for having me, her tone took a 180 after hearing raise, she was so excited she forgot she doesn't actually get paid.
