Chapter 13 - Wind Kingdoms Part 2 [Bonus]

Back in the Wind Kingdom, they finally had to enter Skyreach Aero Spire the moment they arrived, Albion released the girls were right; this whole Kingdom was floating in the sky.

Albion spoke in his head. "If this is the wind kingdom, is the Water Kingdom just the Atlantis of this world"

Wynn looked at him as she spoke. "So, ready to meet Lord Avian, he will be very happy to know that the son of his King is in his Kingdom".

Albion looked at them as he looked at the city. "I wanna explore a bit before meeting him".

Eria looked at him, as she raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you wanna delay your finding even more".

Albion looked over the edge of the floating platform, watching clouds drift lazily beneath them. The wind rustled his hair, and despite everything—being lost, hunted, and possibly at the centre of a political storm—he couldn't help but smile a little.

"I know it's risky," Albion said, glancing back at Eria and Wynn, "but I've been running nonstop since I got here. Just a little bit of peace before politics crash down on me again, alright?"

Wynn sighed but nodded. "Fine. One hour. But no wandering off alone."

Eria crossed her arms. "And if anything explodes, it's on you."

Albion chuckled. "Deal."

As they descended the spiralling staircase into the city proper, Albion took in the view—sky bridges connecting towers, markets floating on platforms, people gliding with wings or riding wind creatures, and spiralling gusts forming living artwork in the air.

In his head, Albion muttered, "This place is way too peaceful. Something is definitely going to go wrong soon."

They started to walk, and as they did Albion noticed something, his Dragon eyes picked up that when people were used to buying Iteams from the shop, they were using a type of material, it looked odd, it wasn't a coin, it was shaped like one, but it the Wind Element Symbol from the Yu-Gi-Oh card game, which was saying it was the Japanese word for Wind, as he thought in his mind

"I heard of Nation having different currency from each other, like how in Dragon Nation they used Bronze, Silver and Gold Coins, but for a Kingdom in the Dragon Nation to use another different Currency system is odd, is it because they are part of the Wildlands, or because of how they are related to the Elements".

Albion narrowed his eyes, subtly activating a low-grade scan with his Dragon Eyes to try and study the composition of the strange currency. The energy flow was faintly magical, resonating specifically with Wind-based mana. "So it's not just symbolic. This currency holds elemental energy... like a mana-charged coin?"

He kept walking with Eria and Wynn through the marketplace, his mind spinning. "This system wouldn't work in the Dragon Nation unless the infrastructure could recognize and process elemental energy. Which means either they made this for control... or as a way to isolate themselves economically from the rest of the Dragon Nation."

Wynn noticed his narrowed expression. "Something bothering you?"

Albion looked at her. "Yeah. That coin system—those Wind-marked coins—they're laced with elemental mana. That's not something you'd use just for looks."

Eria raised an eyebrow. "You're sharper than you look. Most outsiders don't even notice."

Albion kept walking, processing the implications. "So that's how they control trade. A local-only elemental currency would prevent outsiders from easily exploiting their economy… smart, but very isolating."

Eria added, "It also makes them hard to manipulate politically. If a nation wanted to buy loyalty, they'd have to convert their currency, and that's… complicated."

Albion glanced down at his hand. "If every Kingdom based their economy on their element, then that means… the Water Kingdom probably uses some form of aquatic crystal… Earth would be stone-engraved tokens… and Fire probably uses literal fire-imbued cores or something."

He let out a sigh. "This world's complicated."

Albion then went to his pocket before he remembered that his Money, the silver coins he had with him, were either with his old Clothes, which were back in the attacked Shrine or gone with the River; he sighed as he spoke in his head.

"And here I thought I could see some type of exchange Rate; if the Dragon Nation is ok with this system, it means that there is some type of Exchange Rate".

Albion then looked at Gigobyte, who had found something, something someone lost a wind coin. "Will now that is just convenient".

Albion crouched beside Gigobyte, who proudly nudged the small, wind-inscribed coin toward him with a happy little gurgle. The coin shimmered faintly with greenish mana, lines pulsing in the symbol etched into its surface — the kanji for Kaze (wind).

Albion picked it up carefully, feeling a faint hum through his fingers. "So this is what they're using... I can feel the mana circuit inside. This isn't just currency — it's a conduit. Maybe even a tracking method or an identity marker?"

He glanced around, checking to see if anyone was watching. The coin didn't seem to trigger any alarms or magical surveillance. "So losing one doesn't automatically ping the authorities. That's good."

He held the coin up toward Wynn and Eria. "Hey, mind telling me how much this is worth?"

Wynn leaned over, squinting. "That's a Tier-1 Wind Coin. Smallest denomination. Worth about the same as a bronze coin in the Dragon Nation."

Eria added, "It's mostly used for cheap snacks, basic items, or public services like transport and entry tickets. You'd need higher-tier ones — like Gale Notes or Sky Credits — for serious shopping."

Albion nodded. "So I was right, there is an exchange rate system... which means there's a bureau or a council somewhere managing cross-nation trade. I wonder who's behind that."

Wynn smirked. "Why? Planning on becoming a merchant prince now?"

Albion shrugged with a grin. "Hey, I'm already a prince — might as well diversify."

They laughed and continued walking, Albion now pocketing the coin carefully. In his mind, he was already forming hypotheses: "If each elemental nation has its currency, and they're all mana-embedded, then it's not just economic — it's cultural, spiritual, maybe even political. These coins might even double as identification in certain places."

Meanwhile in the highest Layer in the Wind Kingdom was the Castle, it was Green in Colour with the inside decorated with beautiful decor, with walls with golden lines, pillars and halls lining the place, with pictures of Many Kings Of the Wind Nation, with some pictures having trh Presence of Albion the first Albion Grandfather or Albion The Second Albion Father and with all that, was a giant door, behind that was two figures a king and a queen, one looked like a Mail and The Other female, they were the same species as the King was looking at the search party's for Albion.

[Insert Image of Elemental Hero Avian Here]

Avian looked at Cartesian and Crunessa as he spoke. "So you believe that the Young Prince is here".

Crunessa, who was kneeling for respect, looked up. "Yes, we believe that the Prince has come to your Kingdoms after meeting with Eria and Wynn".

Avian closed his eyes as he spoke. "Eria and Wynn, they are my student, so the Young Prince is safe, and if he is here".

Crunessa looked at him as her eyes narrowed. "If he is?".

Avian finished his sentence. "Then it will be great; ever since the Elemental Kingdom god's word that our Future Primal Sovereign was lost? We, Elemental Monarch and Elemental Beast, have been looking for him restlessly for the last 2 days".

As Avian's wings rustled softly behind his majestic armour-clad form, his voice carried through the vast throne chamber like the whisper of a storm — gentle yet commanding.

Queen Tempestra, seated beside him, her flowing dress patterned with windswept feathers and emerald threads of mana, placed her hand gently on the King's. Her eyes were sharp, yet filled with grace and wisdom. "We owe much to the Dragon Nation," she said, her voice like a breeze dancing through trees. "And even more to Albion the Second. If his son is truly here… then the skies themselves must have guided him."

Cartesian stepped forward slightly, head bowed. "We followed every lead we could, Your Majesty. Aussa of the Earth Kingdom was the one who pointed us this way. We believe the boy encountered Wynn and Eria in the Wildlands. And based on the Channeler's divination… this is the most likely place."

Avian opened his eyes again, glowing faintly with emerald light as his aura flared just a touch — a show of restrained power. "Very well. If the Young Sovereign is within my Kingdom, he will not remain hidden for long. The winds themselves will carry his scent to us. I shall summon my knights, the Aero Vanguard, and initiate a passive scan across Skyreach."

Crunessa rose. "Thank you, Lord Avian."

The King nodded. "Ensure that none cause panic. Let the people know only that a guest of great importance may walk among them."

Then he stood tall, spreading his wings just slightly — a symbol of intent. "The heir to the throne of Dragons has arrived in my sky. And all who live under it… shall protect him."

With the Kid's, Scarlet just looked at the others. "So um, why did we think of seeking into the Border".

Asterion looked at them as he spoke back. "I didn't know our Nation was this friendly with 6 Elemental Kingdom, which makes sense seeing that trh Kingdom are in the Dragon Nation".

Chame looked at them as she spoke. "We were probably gonna be though that once we were older".

"I guess we know now, before we were ment to". Tillroo chimed in.

Aussa then spoke. "Before anyone ask me, I am not from this kingdom, I from the earth Kingdom, I only know basic information because of Eria and Wynn ok".

Scarlet crossed her arms with a faint smirk, the wind catching strands of her dark red hair. "Relax, no one's blaming you, Earth Girl. Honestly, I think it's good we're learning this now… before we accidentally start a political incident."

Asterion chuckled nervously. "You say that like we're not already borderline doing that by sneaking across borders and chasing a missing prince."

Chame raised an eyebrow. "Technically, we're retrieving a lost prince, not chasing."

Tillroo added with a shrug, "Potato, potahto."

Aussa groaned. "Great. So if we get arrested, we'll be called the Potato Knights who trespassed into the Wind Kingdom."

Scarlet snorted. "Better than The Lostlings of Political Chaos."

Asterion then looked ahead, spotting the towering spires of Skyreach. "Well, we're here now. Let's just find Albion before someone else finds us first."

The trio walked through the lively bazaar of Skyreach Aero Spire. The streets were lined with hovering food stalls that floated slightly above the ground, tethered by glowing green runes. Elemental wind magic swirled gently around each stall, keeping ingredients fresh and circulating delicious aromas through the air.

Albion's stomach roared again as they passed a vendor shouting, "Fresh Skyfruit! Light as a feather, sweet as the clouds!"

Wynn tugged at Albion's hand. "Let's start with something simple—Wind Buns."

The vendor handed them soft, glowing green buns that floated slightly in their hands. Albion raised an eyebrow. "Why is my food levitating?"

Eria smirked. "Wind yeast. It's fermented using air magic. Just try it."

Albion took a cautious bite—his eyes widened. The texture was impossibly soft, like biting into a sweet cloud with a slightly minty aftertaste. "Holy crap. This tastes like air if air was delicious."

They continued sampling the local cuisine. Next came Sky Noodles, long translucent strands that floated above the bowl and twirled themselves using wind magic. When Albion slurped them, the flavor danced on his tongue—cool, fresh, and citrusy.

He moved on to Tempest Wings, grilled phoenix-chicken wings infused with spicy gust essence. One bite sent a tingle down his spine and made his hair flutter like he'd stuck his head out of a moving train.

Wynn and Eria watched as he teared up. "Too spicy?" Eria teased.

Albion coughed. "No—I just wasn't emotionally prepared."

Last came Gale Pudding, a dessert that spun slowly in its bowl like a mini tornado. Albion poked it, and the pudding spun faster before splitting into bite-sized pieces that floated into his mouth.

"Okay," he said, licking his lips. "This place is weird. But the food? Absolute banger."

Wynn grinned. "Told you."

Eria looked up. "Alright, now that you've been fed… ready to meet Lord Avian?"

Albion hesitated, patting his satisfied stomach. "Do I have to? I just hit food nirvana."

Wynn smirked. "He has a rooftop garden made of floating herbs."

Albion's eyes sparkled. "...Lead the way."

As they made there way, they spell food and got side tracked, they were all still kids after all

After that they tryed some Sky Dog, which was basically Hot Dog, as he ate them, it felt great, But also a weird taste.

Albion looked at the shopkeeper as he spoke. "Hey, Shopkeeper what meat is this".

The shopkeeper not knowing that he was taking to a Young Dragon. "Normal we use Chiken, but sense we recently ran out, and sense Wyvern have been being found dead recently in the near by area's, we had switched to Wyvern".

Albion froze mid-chew.

Eria and Wynn paused too, eyes slowly widening as the words sunk in.

"...Wyvern?" Albion repeated, his voice muffled by half a Sky Dog still in his mouth.

The shopkeeper nodded cheerfully. "Yup! A little tougher, but with the right spices? Tastes like a cross between chicken and smoked boar. Bit of a gamey aftertaste, huh?"

Albion slowly looked down at the remaining piece of the Sky Dog in his hands.

Wynn's face was pale. "You just ate a relative."

Eria coughed awkwardly. "Well… technically, Wyverns are like… distant cousins to dragons. Not exactly family."

Albion stared into the void. "I've tasted cousin meat... I need a soul cleanse."

Gigobyte, from behind his shoulder, made a smug chirp that very much sounded like, "Tastes like regret, doesn't it?"

Albion sighed, dropping the rest of the Sky Dog into a trash bin that politely opened with a puff of wind magic. "Alright. That's it. No more eating random mystery meat. I'm gonna stick to fruits. Or bread. Or air."

Wynn laughed. "Welcome to the Wildlands, Prince Albion. Where every meal is a gamble."

Eria elbowed him gently. "Come on, let's get to Lord Avian before you end up snacking on something sacred."

Albion, still emotionally damaged but at least full, nodded and followed. "If Lord Avian offers me Wind Griffin stew, I'm leaving."
