" It was dark "
"Everything around me was filled with darkness"
Infront of me was a dark figure with white eyes heading towards me, I did not dare to move ,a mysterious aura starts to consume me down my leg as I stood still helplessly-
A sudden voice sends chills down my spine-
"I like you"
The mist figure said with a terrifying smile, standing right in front of me lowering his face near mine,my heart pounding non-stop and as the darkness almost consumed me, i woke up .
Breathing heavily and sweating hard as if i was running,the first thing i saw was an iron roof ,thinking somone found me in the forest and took me in,i tried to get up but i couldn't ,i was tied up with a chain to the bed ,i was confuse but focuse of trying to figure out how i ended up this way.I thought to to myself, will i be able to break out by force ,but my heavy arm give the answer right away ,it was out of magic and could no longer move.Not knowing what to do i was lost in thought and then the door to the room opened ,a young girl around 6-9 years walk in with a bowl of soup,she look extreamly focus on carrying it and spoke out in a low and playfull voice-
"bala-balance it ,or dads gonna get mad"
but the very moment she laid her eyes on me she froze , surprise written all over her eyes.
I nerviously said in a low tone-
"haha h....hii"
She droped her bowl in shock-
"Da-Da-Daaaaaaaaad"
She scream while running out the room-
"the golem guy is awake"
"Golem?"
I said to myself in confusion.After about 2 minutes the door was again opened but the one who entered the room reminded me that i'm in another world ,he was who i could recognised at first glance , a duarf !
The duarf looked at me with keen eyes and seems to be on high alert.
"Are you the one who saved me?"
I questioned with sweats running down my face .
"Yes I am"
He said with a calm yet serious voice and continue to questioned me-
"what is a mere human who is not even a fallen let alone an adventurer doing in the demon continent ?"
Its was clear that he was suspicious, I opened my mouth trying to answer-
"aaah what was i doing here again?"
Flashback*
Back in the forest near the ancient forest.
"So do you have any place in mind you wanna visit?"
I ask Alice who was excited for travelling,She replied in a cheerful voice-
"Lets head to Valtoria ,its one of the biggest human kingdom i know"
With her mouth watering she continued-
"The adventurers from there always bought tasty food with them"
She wipe her mouth and lead the way but stops a few times mid way.
I did not think much of it during that time but now that i think about it,she forgot the way didnt she? I thought to myself not knowing how to feel about my situation.
"Hey"
I was so lost in though that i completely ignored him and in a nervious voice i replied-
"We were ....traveling!"
"Huuuh"
He said in disbelieve ,I could tell he didnt belive me .I avoid eye contact but i could feel his gaze at me ,he let out a deep breath and starts to open my restrain .
"its non of my business what your doing here and your reasons,and i dont have any intrest"
The little girl returns with another bowl of soup and hand it to me ,her eyes were fixed on my right arm .
"you can rest here and recover but you must return as soon as you can ,the others wont take you human lightly "
He said with a serious face,I replied seriously-
"I cant do that ,they got one of my friends"
"You did say you were traveling with someone,what happened to this friend of yours"
Thinking back about what happened i clench my fist ,all the emotion rushed back as i recalled the guy leaving with Alice-
"we were attack by some guy and he got my friend with him,i tried to stop him but i was no match for him"
With a low voice i said feeling fustrated.
He widened his eyes in shocked-
"The only person who could have done that in this area is Valois"
"Valois?"
He look serious and saddened at the same time-
"Valois Kaito,one of the 6 duke of The Land of Dawn ,but due to certain circumstance he live outside the kingdom's wall"
He look down and with a saddened voice says-
"I feel sorrow for your friend but your better off leaving her behind,Valois is not someone who should be messed with,and its not even clear that your friend is aliv-"
"She is alive"
I said to him ,looking at his face with a determind eyes,I could tell he wont touch her by the way he talks about her in the forest.
He look straight in my eyes as if he's trying to intimidate me ,a few seconds later he close his eyes and by the look of it he made an important decision .He stood up and head towards the door and grab the handle and pause-
"Fine,Ill help you"
My mind was filled with gladness but i was confuse by his decision at the same time.
"why are you helping me this much mister ,you have nothing to gain by helping me"
I ask with a confuse look"
"Goro"
"huh"
"My name is Goro ,and for my reason its a personal matter"
He close the door and left .I took the bowl and grab the spoon to eat a spoonfull but couldn't ,thinking that at this very moment Alice could be suffering at that hand of that bastard valois, i lost my appetite and put the bowl down.I stare at my right arm which was no longer able to move,the yellow vain which used to glow bright yellow diminished ,my heart aches ,i lay down the bed drawing in thoughts ,what will i do against that Valois guy ,even him holding back was too much for me and there is no way to recharge my arm without Alice ,Im basically a normal human .The mysterious mist figure flash before my eyes -
"That thing"
I thought to myself ,if my guess is correct the incident in the cave where i lost my conciousness ,That thing helped me ,but that idea was quickly diminish by my fear of not knowing what happened.
From the moment i set foot in the world only misfortune awaits me but i thought things would change with Alice ,i clench my teeth in anger and thought to myself ,i have to get stronger ,strong enough to protect her ,strong enough to stand against the heavenly rulers,i made up my resolve and rest to get enough energy for whatever goro is gonna made me do.
𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙿𝚁𝙴𝚅𝙸𝙾𝚄𝚂 𝙽𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃 𝙰𝙵𝚃𝙴𝚁 𝙷𝙸𝚁𝙰𝚃𝙰 𝙱𝙻𝙰𝙲𝙺𝙴𝙴𝙳 𝙾𝚄𝚃-
"I didnt expect that from you,Alice of all people"
Valois said with a mischieving smile,Alice remained silent with a discomforting face.
Valois change his way of talking and with a cold voice -
"Dont act like a good and inocent girl ,we both know what you did in the great war"
"it had to be done"
She said with a gloomy face,Valois stared at her for a little bit and continued walking.
They eventualy reach a mansion at the side of a hill ,it was old yet maintined its dignity as the home of a duke,as they approch the gate ,it was opened by a person who dress as a butler but his head was nothing was a blue flame.
"how was your hunting "
The butler said with a burning demonic voice-
"Same as ever,but i got this nice gift from one of them"
"Thats ?"
The butlet ask in confusion .
"Our ticket to entering the kingdom again"
He answered ,his voice filled with excitement and pleasure and head inside the mansion.He took Alice to one of the room which contains lots of book ,he puts the cage down the table.
"And as for you"
He said while bitting his thumb and with his blood create a spell around her cage.
"This should do the trick "
"What do you intend to do with me"
Alice said with a face full of uneasiness.
"you'll find it out soon enough once i finish with this task given to me"
As he was finishing his sentence an exlosion sound cought his attention.
"speak of the devil"
He said while wearing a terrifying smile,He jump out of the window with a blood wings forming around his back and flew off.Alice ,looking towards the window ,grabing one of the bar of the cage-
"hirata ,i hope you survive"
