Chapter 9 - Kell's mysterious dream

Before the Incident

At the hospital, a nurse came and said,

"Sir, only two people can stay overnight."

Kell replied, "Okay, ma'am."

Ru said, "Kell, go home. Don't worry, we'll stay here."

Kell agreed and left for home.

A Few Hours Before the Incident

Kell was sleeping in his room, deeply lost in his dreams.

In his unconscious mind, he felt himself falling into a dark, endless sea.

He was in a deep sleep — but was it just a dream?

Suddenly, a voice echoed in his mind,

"Save Jiya. She is the only key to finding me."

Kell, startled and confused, asked the voice,

"Who are you? And what do you mean, save Jiya?"

Outside, a dark aura started to surround Kell's body.

The voice continued,

"At the right time, you will find me, and I will explain everything. But for now, saving her is most important. Once you save her, ask her about the Holly White Palace. Then go there. Once you arrive, I will contact you again."

After these words, the voice and the dark sea disappeared, and Kell woke up, confused and sweating.

He thought to himself,

"What was that? What was he trying to tell me? Anyway, maybe it was just a dream... but if it was real..."

Panicking slightly, he rushed to his study table near the window, grabbed his phone, and tried to call his father.

The phone rang, but no one answered.

He tried again. Still no response.

Sweat formed on his forehead as he called his mother next — again, no answer.

Growing increasingly worried, Kell dialed the hospital's number.

After two or three attempts, finally, a nurse answered,

"Yes, sir, this is Yamata Hospital. How can I help you?"

"I want to know the situation of the patient in Ward 318," Kell said anxiously.

The nurse, now visibly nervous too, tried to stay calm,

"Sorry sir, but we cannot give patient information to just anyone. Only to family members."

"I am her family member," Kell insisted.

"Okay, sir. May I have your name, please?"

"My name is Kell Minamoto."

Hearing his name, the nurse froze for a moment.

She recognized Kell as the frequent visitor of Jiya.

Nervously, she said,

"Sir... something has happened. We've already informed the police."

"What?! What happened?!" Kell shouted, his body trembling with fear.

The nurse continued,

"Sir... a few hours ago, when one of the family members informed us that the patient was waking up, everything seemed fine.

But soon after, a strange black mist appeared on the 4th floor.

When we tried to investigate, an invisible barrier prevented us from entering.

After several minutes, everything returned to normal.

But when we checked the rooms... all the patients were unconscious.

And when we opened her room... Jiya was gone.

We don't know what happened, so we called the police."

Meanwhile, the government, trying to manage the worldwide chaos, had formed a special forces unit, recruiting officers with unique powers.

One investigator arrived at Jiya's ward — a magician with time-manipulation abilities.

Using her spell, she replayed the events of the past three hours.

She reported to the team:

"Someone kidnapped Jiya along with two of her family members — a woman and a man."

Kell, hearing this, felt his heart sink.

He ended the call and rushed out the door, booking a taxi immediately.

Tears welled up in his eyes as he thought,

"Why is this happening to me? Why am I not strong enough?

I worked so hard, earned money thinking I could protect everything...

But now, money is useless.

God, please protect them."

On the Way

As Kell was speeding toward the hospital, a black car suddenly blocked his taxi.

The driver blinked his headlights and yelled,

"Hey! Who's that idiot?! Why are you blocking us? Are you drunk?!"

Kell got out, anger burning in his eyes, his hands trembling.

He approached the car and shouted,

"Sir, please move your car! It's an emergency! We need to get through immediately!"

The man in the black car showed no expression.

He calmly said,

"My name is Karlos. I am Jiya's uncle.

I heard the news... and I know where she is.

Come with me quietly.

Jiya once told me you were her closest friend.

I know the location, but the only way to find the exact spot is with the bracelet she gave you."

Kell was stunned.

"I trust you," he said.

"That bracelet was a secret between the two of us. If she didn't tell anyone else, you wouldn't know about it.But... it's just an ordinary bracelet."

Karlos interrupted,

"No. That bracelet carries a trace of Jiya's shadow power. She inputs it on that and inform me.It will help us find her."

Meanwhile, scientists around the world were developing new machines to detect mana, spiritual essence, and other hidden energies.

They discovered that everyone had unique powers, and their bodies emitted energy patterns linked to their potential.

These machines could measure that helping to awaken people's hidden abilities...
