Chapter 82 - Epilogue: After the Rift

Location: Hillside Base – 6 Months Later

POV: Shared – Slice of Life

The Genesis War was over.

The Rift had closed. Zeyren was gone.

And the world—what was left of it—had slowly begun to spin again.

You all lived quietly now, in a rebuilt base nestled in the hills above a green valley.

It wasn't perfect. But it was peaceful.

[Scene: The New Morning]

Lia sat on the front porch of the new command house, her boots off, sipping tea while the wind blew through her short hair. She wore a loose black jacket now, not armor—just something warm.

Kairo joined her, tossing her an orange.

She caught it one-handed.

Smirked. "That all you got?"

"I'm saving the dramatic entrance for our next apocalypse," he said, sitting beside her.

They didn't talk much after that. They didn't need to.

[Scene: Leon's Workbench]

Inside the new base's garage, Leon tinkered with a battered motorbike, grease on his hands, a cigarette dangling from his lip.

A radio played something soft in the background.

Every now and then, he'd glance at a photo nailed to the wall: one of all of you.

Taken after the final battle.

Leon still worked with the new police branch. But today, he wasn't a captain.

Just a mechanic.

Just... Leon.

[Scene: You and Ada – Kitchen Light]

You sat at the small kitchen table with Ada, sunlight pouring in through the open window. She was barefoot, hair loose, wearing your old jacket like it belonged to her now.

She poured coffee for both of you.

You watched her in silence.

She caught your look and smirked. "What?"

"Just making sure it's real."

Ada walked over, leaned down, kissed your temple.

"It is."

You sat like that for a long time. No alarms. No bullets. Just the smell of coffee and the sound of wind outside.

[Final Scene: The Garden – Memory Bloom]

At the edge of the hill, a new garden had been planted.

Wildflowers, mostly.

And one stone in the center:

Seris – A Light in the Darkness

Lia came here every morning. Sometimes Kairo joined her. Sometimes Leon. Sometimes you and Ada.

No one ever spoke while visiting. The silence said enough.

But today, as the sun climbed over the horizon—

Lia looked up, smiled faintly.

"She'd be proud."

You nodded.

"We all would."

And behind all of you, the world breathed again.

Not perfect.

But free.
