Chapter 2 - The Awakening of Keshav Garg

I was dead. At least, that's what I remember.Cancer.A terminal diagnosis. The kind of thing that doesn't give you much hope. I spent the final months of my life on Earth in a hospital room, hooked up to machines, fighting a losing battle. My body was falling apart, and I knew I wouldn't last long.

The days blurred together. The pain became numb, but the loneliness? That stayed with me. The only company I had was the soft beeping of machines and the occasional visits from doctors and nurses who always wore that sorry look in their eyes.

And then, one evening, I closed my eyes, exhausted from everything, and… I never woke up.

But then, I woke up again.

I wasn't in a hospital bed anymore.I wasn't in my old life anymore.

I was in some kind of futuristic place. No, scratch that—this wasn't futuristic. This was far beyond anything I had ever seen or imagined. The air hummed with strange energy, the walls glowed with what seemed like liquid light, and there was a feeling, a tangible sense of vastness, as if the space around me had no limit. It was both mesmerizing and terrifying.

The confusion was unbearable. My mind screamed, trying to make sense of it, but my body—if this even counted as a body—wasn't reacting the way it should. My limbs felt weightless, and I couldn't feel my skin. It was as though I was floating in some kind of virtual space, disconnected from reality.

But then, a voice entered my mind. It was calm, almost robotic, yet strangely soothing.

Ding! Host detected. Do you wish to bind the World Creation System?

Wait—Host? What was going on? What was this? The words came through clearly, as if they were spoken directly to me, but I wasn't sure where they were coming from. The confusion only deepened as the system continued.

Detected host response. Binding the World Creation System.

Binding successful. Welcome, Host Keshav Garg. You are now the chosen one of the World Creation System.

My name.Keshav Garg.

It was my name. The same one I had in my previous life. But why? Why was I in someone else's body with the same name?

Before I could think too much, the system sent another wave of memories crashing into my mind. They weren't mine—not exactly—but they felt just as real. They belonged to the previous host of this body. The memories painted a picture of a world so advanced that it was almost unimaginable. A world where every student in high school was expected to create their own world. Not a metaphorical or virtual world. An actual, real world.

I wasn't just in any world, I was in a world governed by Origin Energy, a force so powerful that it could shape reality itself. On the first day of the last year of high school, every student went through an event known as the Awakening Ceremony, where they used a machine called the Chaos Dive to send their consciousness into the Chaos Dimension. This was no ordinary dimension—it was a space that existed outside of time and space as we knew it, filled with omnipresent Chaos Energy.

The Chaos Dive machine injected the students with Origin Energy, and the reaction between the energy, the Chaos Energy, and their consciousness resulted in the creation of their world. The size of the world depended on the student's potential. The higher their potential, the bigger their world. The more powerful the world. The more likely they would awaken a higher form of energy within it.

And the types of worlds that could be created were as varied as the students themselves—technological worlds, cultivation realms, magical lands, monstrous dimensions, and much more. The possibilities were endless, and the journey to creating a world was the ultimate challenge for these students. It was the stepping stone to godhood.

But the real test would come one year later, on Graduation Day. That was when everything would culminate in the Survival Test. Only those who survived the test would continue their path toward greatness. The rest? They would become slaves, bound to other students who had succeeded in creating worlds of their own. The stakes couldn't be higher.

The previous host of this body, Keshav Garg, was an orphan. Alone in the world. He had no family, no connections. His potential had been strong—he was about to awaken and create his world on this very day—but then something had happened. He died. It was sudden, unexpected, and left him with no chance to fulfill his destiny.

And now... here I was, inheriting this body, this name, this fate.

I felt a surge of emotion. Confusion.Desperation.How could I be the one to inherit this incomplete life? How could I—someone who had just died in a completely different world—be the one to pick up where the previous Keshav had left off?

But there was no time for that. The Awakening Ceremony was about to begin, and I had to prepare myself for what was to come. I didn't know the first thing about using Origin Energy or creating a world. I didn't know if I even had the potential to create something meaningful. But one thing was clear: I couldn't fail.

I had no choice but to step up.This was my second chance at life—and I would not waste it.
