Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 : The perfect Trap

Yuto Defends Kaido

Yuto stood his ground.

"Kaido would never steal. He's always been there for me!"

His voice was firm, his heart racing as he glared at Reina.

Reina's expression darkened. She wasn't expecting this much resistance.

For the first time, her mask cracked just slightly.

She had to change tactics.

Reina's followers gathered around her, sensing her frustration.

"What now, Reina?" one of them asked cautiously.

Reina took a deep breath and then… smirked.

"No one escapes my web. Not even Yuto."

She turned to her followers, her eyes gleaming with dangerous amusement.

"I'll break their bond. And when I do... Yuto will never want to see Kaido again."

---

Flashback: The Plan is Set

Reina leaned back in her chair, tapping her nails on the desk rhythmically.

Her followers exchanged nervous glances.

"But… how? Yuto agrees with everything Kaido says. They're best friends."

Reina chuckled. "That's exactly why it'll work."

She stood up, walking to the window, watching the students pass by.

"I'll make Kaido hit me."

Gasps filled the room.

"Reina, are you serious? You want to get slapped by your own brother?"

She grinned.

"That's where the fun begins."

She turned back, her expression wicked.

"I know Kaido. He'll be furious, but even then, he won't hurt me too much. He'll slap me softly. But I? I'll act like he broke my jaw."

Her eyes gleamed with amusement. "And you all… will make sure Yuto sees it."

A pause.

Then one of her followers whispered: "…This will work."

Reina's smirk widened.

"Of course it will. I never lose."

The Trap is Sprung

The next day, Reina made her move.

She cornered Kaido in the hallway, her voice deceptively sweet.

"Kaido, I think we should talk… about Yuto."

Kaido frowned, instantly on edge.

"What about him?"

Reina sighed dramatically, shaking her head.

"You should leave him alone. He's doing fine without your interference."

Kaido crossed his arms. "I'm not interfering. I'm protecting him from you."

Reina's eyes flashed.

"Protecting him from me?" She laughed coldly. "Please, Kaido. We both know the truth."

She leaned in.

"You're jealous because Yuto trusts me more than you now."

Kaido's patience snapped.

"Jealous? Of you?" His fists clenched. "You're manipulating him, Reina. I see right through your lies!"

Reina's smirk deepened. "Well, Yuto doesn't."

Then, she whispered the final blow:

"Soon, he'll be licking my feet like a good little servant."

Kaido's blood boiled.

Without thinking—without hesitation—he slapped her.

It wasn't hard. It wasn't violent.

But it was enough.

The moment his hand touched her face—

Her followers dragged Yuto into the scene.

Yuto's eyes widened.

All he saw was Kaido's hand hitting Reina.

---

Yuto Chooses His Side

Yuto's entire world shattered.

"Kaido!" His voice was filled with rage. "What are you doing? How could you hit her?!"

Kaido froze.

"Yuto, no—this isn't—"

Reina stumbled back, holding her cheek as if Kaido had broken her bones.

Tears welled in her eyes. "Kaido… why?"

Yuto's fists clenched. "I trusted you, Kaido."

Kaido tried to explain. "Yuto, she planned this. She's lying!"

But Yuto wasn't listening.

He grabbed Reina's wrist.

"Come on, we need to get you to the nurse."

As Yuto walked away with Reina, Kaido stood there.

Alone.

Watching his best friend disappear into Reina's arms.

And Reina?

She glanced back over her shoulder.

And smirked.
