"Today's training will be a little different. You'll have three instructors. Me, All Might and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you" Shota says.
"Sir, what kind of training is this?" Sero asks.
Shota grab a card and holds up for us to see, it says Rescue on it. "Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, like shipwrecks" Shota says.
"Disasters huh? Sounds like we are in for a big workout" Kaminari says.
"Totally!" Ashido yells out.
"Real hero stuff, this is what separates the men from the boys" Kirishima says "I'm shaking with excitement."
"Finally, i'll get to show off how good I am in the water, ribbit" Asui says.
"Guys! I'm not finished yet!" Shota yells out to get our attention.
"What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know your excited about costumes" Shota says pressing a button on a remote, which causes the wall to extend, revealing our Costume Suitcases. "Keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet, they might limit your abilities."
"This special training is at an off campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there" Shota says and then he starts walking to the door saying "That's all, start getting ready."
Everyone gets up to grab our Costumes and then we head to the locker rooms. After we got changed we made our way over to the parking lot.
"Midoriya" I hear Iida calling for me from the side.
"What's up Iida?" I ask him.
"I made a plan to help us board the bus in the most efficient manner possible, I thought I'd show it to you to help out" Iida explains as he hand me a piece of paper.
"Oh! Thanks Iida, but… the bus has an open layout, so that won't help much" I say trying not to make him feel bad.
"What?! Really? That means my efforts were all for naught" Iida says visibly saddened.
"Hey, don't worry about it. It's the thought that counts Iida" I say trying to cheer him up.
He smiles a bit and pulls himself together saying "Thanks for the encouragement Midoriya. Now, let's get on the bus."
I nod as I look around for Momo. I look around and can't seem to find her. I was just about ready to give up and ask Shota where she went when I hear "Looking for someone" from behind me.
I jump a little bit at being snuck up on and turn around to see Momo smiling at me. "Momo, don't do that" I say.
Momo giggles a bit, before saying "Sorry Izuku, I just couldn't help myself."
I pout a bit, but liven up enough to say "Alright we should get on the bus, before we are left behind." Momo nods and we both start walking towards the bus.
As we make our way inside the bus, I grab her hand and pull her along with me to one of seats in the back. We sit down and I maneuver my mouth to be right next to her ears and whisper "Momo, I need you to listen to me very carefully and don't panic."
"Okay….." Momo says uneasily as the bus starts to move.
"I need you to stay close to me, while we are at the USJ.." I say, but quickly correct myself "I mean for the rescue training."
"Okay… but why?" Momo asks.
"Just trust me, alright?" I say moving away from her and look at her face to see her blushing.
Momo seems to think for a bit, before finally saying "Alright, Izuku. I'll trust you." I sigh in relief for a moment, but Momo quickly adds on "So why did you need to whisper that into my ear?"
"A little payback for earlier, when you snuck up on me" I say grinning at her.
Momo pouts for quite a while before finally saying "Fine, we're even… for now…" I give her hand a squeeze and smirk.
"I do have something that caught my attention" Asui says catching my attention. "Something about you Midoriya."
"Yeah, what is it Asui?" I ask her, turning my head towards her.
"Tsu, call my Tsu" Tsuyu says.
"Sure, Tsu" I say.
"You Quirk… isn't it a lot like All Might's Quirk?" Tsuyu asks, which makes me shudder a bit.
I quickly calm myself and say "I do feel lucky to have a Quirk like the number one Hero. After all, I want to be just like him one day."
"Careful" Momo says interrupting us "You don't want to get him started on his dream. Otherwise, he'll talk our ears off." Uraraka giggles a bit after hearing that.
"It must be cool to have a simple augmenting type Quirk, you can do a lot of flashy stuff with it" Kirishima says. He raises his arm and it hardens as he continues "My hardening is super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."
"No way!" I yell out and then say "I think it's super cool, you just need to work on hardening your body even more and you'll be undefeatable."
"You think so? Huh, thanks for the advice Midoriya, but I think it'd be better if I had something flashier."
"My navel laser has got the perfect combination of panache and strength" Aoyama says cutting in.
Ashido puts a hand on him and says "But it's way lame if it gives you a stomach ache, sweetie."
"Well if any of our classmates have Pro Quirks, other than Midoriya, it's Todoroki and Bakugo" Kirishima says.
"Sure, but Bakugo is always angry, so he'll never be that popular" Tsuyu says.
Kacchan gets up and yells out "What did you say!? Did you want to fight!?"
Tsuyu points at him and says "see."
"You know, we basically just met you. So it's kinda telling that we know your personality is a mix of flaming crap and garbage" Kaminari says, which only seems to make Kacchan angrier.
"You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school, you loser!" Kacchan yells out before almost jumping at him.
"Kacchan, enough!" I yell out, which causes him to stop.
"Hey, hey! We're here. Stop messing around" Shota says getting our attention.
The bus stops and we head inside the USJ. Inside, I see All Might standing with someone dressed up in a space suit. He did make it after all, I think to myself, I wonder how?
"Hello everyone, i've been waiting for you" Thirteen says.
"I have been waiting for you as well!" All Might yells out.
"It's thirteen, he's one of my favorite Heroes!" Uraraka out excitedly.
"Hey All Might is here too" Kirishima says.
I walk up to All Might and say quietly "are you sure you're up for this today, All Might?"
All Might leans down and whispers "Not to worry young Midoriya. I've felt my power slipping away slowly, but your attempt to heal me helped somewhat."
"Okay, just… be careful" I say to him and walk back to the rest of the students.
"Alright, let's begin. Go ahead Thirteen" Shota says as he walks to the front.
"There are many different areas in this facility" Thirteen starts saying "A shipwreck, a landslide, a fire, a windstorm and many more areas. I created this training facility to prepare you to deal with different types of disasters."
"I call it the unforeseen simulation joint, but you can call it U.S.J." Thirteen says.
"U.S.J…." I hear Momo say from beside me. I look over to her and see her staring at me, while thinking about something.
"Something wrong Momo?" I ask her.
"No… or at least I don't think so..." Momo says.
"Before we begin, let me just say one thing. Well, maybe two things. Possibly three, four or five" Thirteen says prattling on.
"We get it" a bunch of my classmates say, ending his ramblings.
"Listen carefully. I'm sure you're aware that I have a powerful Quirk. It's called Black Hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it into dust" Thirteen says.
"Thirteen has used his power to save quite the number of people, isn't that right?" All Might says.
"While that is true, my Quirk could also be very easily used to kill" Thirteen says before continuing "Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous."
"For example" All Might says interrupting us "Young Midoriya used his Quirk to destroy a zero pointer in the practical exam. Imagine what would happen if he used the same force on a person." I here a collective gasp of shock from the class, which causes me to groan a bit.
"That is why, in our superhuman society all Quirks are certified and stringently regulated. If you lose focus or make the wrong move your powers can be deadly. Even if you are trying to do something virtuous, like rescue someone."
Thirteen motions to Shota, who says "Thanks to my fitness test, you should have an idea of your Quirk's potential by now."
Thirteen then turns and motions to All Might, who says "And from the combat training we had, you saw how dangerous your powers can be, when used against other people."
"Carry those lessons over to this class" Thirteen says "Today, you're going to learn how to use your Quirks to save people's lives. You won't be using your powers to attack enemies or each other, only to help."
"After all that is what being a Hero is all about, ensuring the safety of others" All Might says.
"That's all I have, thanks for listening" Thirteen says as he bows.
"Right. Now that, that's over" Shota says before pointing off in the distance.
A strange noise is being made. I wonder what it is, I think to myself as I look around. It's almost like the crackling of electricity. Oh, the villains are arriving, I think to myself as I look towards the fountain. The lights inside dim and the water fountain sputters a bit before a whirling vortex appears near it.
"Shota niichan the fountain!" I yell out trying to get him to look.
Shota turns around and looks over at the fountain as the vortex changes to a purple vortex, then finally into a cloud of moving purple shadows. Out of the shadows, comes a hand as a man steps out of it.
"Stay together and don't move. Thirteen, protect the students" Shota says as the man is followed by many more appearing from the shadows.
The man in question has quite a few hands attached to his arms, shoulders and head.
"Is the training starting already, I thought we were rescuing people" Kirishima says.
"Stay behind us kids!" All Might yells out.
Shota puts on his goggles and says "This is real, those are Villains."
The last person to step out is a giant, disfigured creature. Nomu is what it is called and this one was made to kill the Symbol of Peace, to kill All Might.
