All hell broke loose and in the midst of the chaos was a rare creature.
A man and beast that seemed to be trapped in a body that was carved to perfection by God's own hands.
His hair was as beautiful as the surface of the sea when rays of light from the sky caressed it and the features on his face complemented each other like the tiles in a mosaic.
He was stunning, but his wrath and the destruction he was causing was not very pretty at all.
Eros lost all control, his hair flowed in the wind, his eyes glowed red and even Hudson became terrified of the man who had just saved him.
" Eros ! Stop ! " Hudson called after him , grabbing onto his wings, but as they became engulfed in his tornado of power he seemed to have lost all sense of reasoning.
Soon Venus was pulled into the tornado as well because she stood idle trying to decide if she were to risk her life to save her master and when she finally decided to run away it was too late.
Soon there was no fighting the system because it seemed that Eros was doing the system's job.
He was destroying everything around him and injuring innocent people in the process.
[ Game System updating. New Power level analyzed. Adjusting difficulty level.....]
" Eros , you need to snap out of it !" Hudson gritted his teeth angrily as he tried to pull the Cupid away from the danger of his own power.
A large dragon appeared in front of them and the system climbed up on its back.
The Game was just getting started.
[ Be careful Eros might destroy your planet before the System ever does ]
The System giggled and the dragon took flight with the system on its back , looking for innocent students to terrorize.
Eros was lost in rage then suddenly a thought came to him. A thought of a memory that didn't fit in his life.
There was someone burying something in a small jewelry box in the middle of nowhere.
This memory had reminded him about a secret he was keeping from everyone else. He didn't just come to Earth for a safe place. He was searching for something far more valuable.
Eros' eyes stopped glowing and his power stopped flowing, finally releasing him.
They fell to the ground in a crash.
Eros sprung to his feet and Venus's flowers bloomed underneath her slowly lifting her from the grown.
" I'm going to help the other students ." Venus told her master and she flew away to search for anyone in danger.
Hudson got up and the System attacked him immediately, as the dragon approached them breathing fire onto them and everyone else ran further and further away.
Eros drew a sword of power and in one swift movement he cut off the head of the dragon.
Eros was in the middle of attacking the System aggresssively when his eyes began glowing again .
" Tell me why this game can't end right now ? Why have you been chasing me for years just so I can play this dumb game. I'm not going to save anyone and I don't want to hear the bullshit about the prophecy. What's the real reason ? "
Eros shouted as his entire body began glowing again. The wind around them became stronger and the sky seemed to be preparing for a storm.
There were flashes of lightening before the system spoke again.
[ The System has only one motive. It's to find Eros' heart ]
" Why won't you give up ? How long have you been playing this game , System? " Eros demanded as his power became a huge tornado again , pulling him in.
His ripped away the power that had been swallowing him and levitated above it causing it to swallow Hudson instead. Eros' power changed form and contained Hudson insided it like a cage.
[ The system has chased you for 1 million years ]
" That's impossible Eros hasn't been alive for that long ." Hudson argued, hitting the walls of the power that had cocooned him like a caterpillar that was waiting to become a butterfly.
Hudson was getting more and more frustrated as he hit the walls of the power that held him captive.
" You've been chasing me for 15 years and I'm tired of you. I would like to speak to the obsessive lowlife who created this game." Eros argued, gritting his teeth in frustration.
There was a noticeable moment of silence before the system replied again.
[ You must first acquire an heart if you wish to speak to a God ]
' No God would cause this much bloodshed and destruction . ' Hudson thought.
" You think this is funny ? Your game master is a God but he couldn't catch me for fifteen years ? Listen now and listen good , I will destroy this world myself before I let someone force me to play a game for the rest of my life. " Eros argued gritting his teeth as he grabbed the System.
"Give me one reason why I shouldn't end you ." Eros asked.
Hudson was overwhelmed by anger and frustration and with one huge blow he broke the power that contained him. It shattered like glass and he flew over to Eros and lingered by his side as if he was waiting for his master's command before making a move.
[ You don't get points for attacking the System ]
Monsters started swarming in from every angle as Eros threw the System as far as he could and she went crashing into the ground.
" I don't care about points. I'm not playing your game!" He shouted, there was an abnormal amount of frustration in his voice.
" Weapon, you deal with her.I'll go fight the other monsters." Eros commanded Hudson seriously as he released the System causing it to drop to the ground with a sudden force and Hudson stared at him with confusion.
Did Eros really trust him enough to let him fight the System alone ?
Usually Eros would have been treating him like a child , but this time Hudson felt respected and he wanted to make his Master proud. His cheeks gained a bit of colour as he acknowledged his master's faith in him.
Hudson approached the System as it struggled to its feet. He created balls of power in his hands as he prepared to blast the System with all the strength he had.
Hudson was going to do everything he could to prove himself a worthy weapon that was fit to be used by Eros.
As the Monsters closed in on the school Eros became more and more fired up , he launched himself into the air, spinning in mid air then slicing the monsters to bits in a swift motion.
He landed on the floor gracefully as the creatures slain by him fell to pieces in loud crashes.
Eros grew bored of the battlefield as nothing seemed to be a challenge to him and he soon wondered off to seek out a worthy opponent.
The sky darkened , lightening flashed and Venus was on the other side of school, fighting monsters and warning Angelica to leave.
"I'm not going anywhere without Enmei!" Angelica said and she aimed her gun at the monsters infront of them . The seriousness of her voice was later reinforced by the sound of gunshots.
" I don't know what kind of friendship pact you Humans made but I can assure you it needs to be broken." Venus said as she threw more of her flytraps infront of Angelica , grabbing the girl and pulling her out of harms way.
She rolled over on the floor with Angelica in her arms.
"Stop risking your life just because you think Enmei would do the same thing. That women led world she wants to create isn't going to be the answer to our problems." Venus said as she let go of Angelica and got up off the ground.
Angelica coughed and winced in pain then her eyes widened when she realized that Venus knew about Enmei's dream.
Her arm had been injured when Venus pulled her away. She had hurt it accidentally as they rolled on the ground but the injury wasn't as painful as knowing how Venus felt about Enmei's plan.
The girl with pink hair stared at the blood running from her arm.
" I thought it was normal for women to have each other's backs. I almost forgot that you were pro Eros. I'm sorry for thinking you'd want women to be protected from him just because you're a girl." Angelica said and her words stung Venus harshly.
" I'm pro- Eros ? ME ? I saw the letter you wrote to him , Angelica. You are just as pro Eros as I am. YOU are in love with him!" Venus shouted at the Human girl and Angelica began to cry.
" It's not my fault.I can't control it.Every human girl likes Eros.I can't stop myself from having these feelings. I don't know what makes us more weak to him.Being Human or Being Female.I love him but I HATE it !" Angelica screamed bitterly and she crouched over holding on tightly to the part of her arm that was bleeding as tears streamed down her face.
Venus just started at her silently because her loyalty was with her master but for a second she could see the misery that Eros was putting Humans through.
Whenever Eros was around Human girls were forced to forget themselves and become overwhelmed by emotions because his beauty was enchanting.
" It is every girl's down fall to have a look at him. He'll kill women and our government will continue to look the other direction because no one values us enough and we don't even try to protect or defend ourselves or our sisters. We are cursed because we care about him more than ourselves.Women deserve the power to create new laws to protect us." Angelica said and Eros flew towards them.
His wings fluttering back and forth and when Angelica laid her eyes on him , she was mesmerized.
" Angelica, are you ok ?" Venus asked and the crying girl turned around to face her with a sad smile.
"I wonder if he'll ever love me back." Angelica asked with her eyes teary and Venus looked at her with a terrified look.
She had finally seen how human girls lose themselves around Eros and for a moment she couldn't help but felt sorry for Humans because not only were they doomed to love him selflessly but it was much worse because it was an unrequited love.
Eros' love does not exist.
Angelica walked away from Venus and walked by Eros without meeting his gaze. She went looking for Hudson to ask him for her note and ended up in the broken down school building in Hudson's literature classroom and in the middle of the rubble she saw her letter.
' Hudson must have dropped it when everything started.' Angelica thought. Her letter was now splattered by blood and a few dead bugs were stuck to it.
She picked it up and shook it , brushing the bugs off and sighing frustratedly.
' I wanted this letter to be as perfect as him, but that's not possible is it?" She grumbled to herself and took up the letter, trying to muster up the courage to go after Eros.
Hudson had been fighting the system nonstop , gaining cuts and bruises in the process, he was getting weaker and weaker and so he made a barrier between him and the system only for the system to break it with one huge smash.
[ I got you where I want you. Give up !]
The system charged at Hudson with a powerful force sending him flying across the school.
Venus and her master's attention was captured by the sight of Hudson plummeting to the ground Infront of them.
They became extremely alert , attacking the system themselves as Hudson struggled back to his feet.
Hudson was enraged when he got up , he flew towards the system and flipped over her head , grabbing her by her hair in the process and dragging her on the floor before throwing her at the wall of the school building then throwing balls of power at her.
He flew back to her as Eros attacked her with his sword of power and pulled her away aggressively pushing her into the wall.
" Tell me everything you know about this game or I'll kill you."Hudson said as he pressed her face into the wall and the System began to cry with her human voice.
"Let go of me please.Please I - I ." She said sounding a bit out of breath as she cried and Hudson ignored her pushing her into the wall again.
"Kill her Now." Eros commanded Hudson and the Human boy wanted to be obedient but the System kept crying sorrowfully with her human voice.
" I think my water just broke." She said and for a moment Hudson remembered all the times when Mrs.Hive had helped him to understand a piece of literature and that time when she said a poem to cheer him up.
He hesitated then he let her go because he couldn't bear the thought of hurting the nice teacher who had helped him with so much.
[ Emotions are the perfect weapon ]
The System gave birth to a small gremlin that pierced both Eros and Venus with its sharp claws in one quick motion and Hudson stood there terrified.
His eyes widened.
Eros winced in pain and Venus screamed.
' Did I just get manipulated by the System ? My feelings were used against me ? I swore I was doing the right thing. Eros is definitely pissed , but maybe I can save him. Venus must be dissappointed. I can't let them die. Maybe if I can saved them Eros will forgive this one mistake'
Eros killed the system's baby and ripped off the System's arms.
Venus fell to the floor with blood running from her wounded body and Eros flew above the System, angrily gritting his teeth and using his sword of power he slice her to bits.
Venus twisted in pain as she layed on the ground and Hudson rushed to her side immediately.
" Are you ok ? " He asked , his breathing was fast and deep.
Venus curled her body and nodded at him, her face bent in discomfort.
Hudson was about run off to get help when Eros grabbed him and threw him at the ground with an intense force.
" Aren't you ashamed of how emotional and trusting you are ? I warned you about how dangerous Human emotions were . Didn't I ? " Eros asked him and He winced in pain.
Hudson was caught completely off guard by Eros' attack.
Angelica walked up to the scene and stared at Venus who was hurt on the ground, her eyes ran over Hudson who was in pain, she looked at the system that had been extremely hurt by Eros then she stared at Eros and a hint of red color blossomed on her cheeks.
' My heart has never been this happy.' Angelica thought as she approached Eros , thinking of how perfect he was.
She walked towards Eros with her love note in her hand and excitement in her heart , closing the space between them
" Angelica NO ! " Enmei's voice called from behind her but it was too late .
Angelica's skin started changing and her body morphed into a terrifying zombie as she was touched by Eros' pheromones.
Eros had just started releasing pheromones again and he didn't realize it and the others around him were in too much pain to notice , but from where Enmei was standing she could see an ominous glow being emitted from his body.
Enmei fell to her knees right there . Tears erupted from her eyes as anger and sadness became the only emotions in her heart.
She cried bitterly at the loss of her new friend. Angelica had wanted to be a part of Enmei's dream and Enmei had accepted her as her partner in crime only for her to be killed off by Eros before the dream had even started.
" How dare you harm the women of our world .This world has become a nightmare and she was going to be a part of my dream ! " Enmei cried .
Enmei took out her gun and aimed at Eros.
She shot at him angrilly, but Venus used her powers to send huge plant vines to snatch the gun right from Enmei's hand and tie her in place.
Enmei struggled to get lose and cried and then she glared at Venus with contempt.
" Enmei calm down. Eros is going to help us soon." Hudson coughed between every three words as he tried to stand up again and Eros marched up to him , grabbed him by his neck and lifted him up.
" She shot at your master and you did absolutely nothing. Now you're telling her that I'll help. I was NEVER going to help you Humans. I always just wanted this planet for myself." Eros said and Hudson tried to push him away.
Eros pushed him into the wall of the school building with great force.
" I am your Master. I am your number one priority. "
" All my life I have prioritized you . I just made a mistake. I'm sorry , I can be better." Hudson said , taking breaths after every few words and struggling to get out of Eros' grip.
" It's too late now. I don't need a weapon as weak as you." Eros told him , he finally let him go and he fell to the floor , gasping for breath.
Hudson struggled to his feet and walked towards his Master and Eros turned his back on him and walked away.
Hudson reached out desperately trying to pull him back but Eros swatted his hand away aggressively.
Hudson stepped forward again , still going after Eros who seemed to want nothing to do with him.
" I DONT WANT YOU ! " Eros shouted at him, grabbing him by his shirt and throwing him into the wall.
hudson's body slammed into the wall, then he slid down to the ground.
He just sat there , slumped over , his breath shaky, his eyes became wet and glossy but he refused to let the tears fall freely.
His heart ached more than any other part of his body.
" ...I thought we were friends." Hudson said and after he let the words out his breathing became labored.
" I don't have friends." Eros said angrily , the sound of disgust accompanied his voice into Hudson's ears.
His words stabbed into Hudson's heart causing him immense pain.
Hudson struggled to get up off the ground , forcing himself up and stumbling a bit as he ignored his pain to go after the one who was causing it once again.
" Master, I - " Hudson started , but Eros interrupted him angrilly , turning back around to face him and shouting at him.
" Don't call me that !" Eros' sudden outburst frightened Hudson and he flinched.
Hudson finally let the first teardrops escape from his eyes.
" I did everything I could for you because I wanted you to accept me . I carried your books , did your homework , and I tried everything I could just to be your friend. That's all I wanted and you just used me. I thought things would have changed when I became your weapon, but you still never respected me. " Hudson said sorrowfully and Eros got even angrier.
"You think obedience is all I required ? You say yes to everything I ask then you blame me for using you ?? I had you doing tricks because you wanted to do them . I used you because you were easy. You were so afraid of upsetting me that you went a long with everything. You were my little puppet but it got boring. I WANT MORE POWER !" Eros' words were like knifes and with every one he spoke Hudson felt more and more defeated.
If the master said that the weapon was useless then it was , after all the weapon only existed to be used by its master.
" So that's it ? All of what we've been through meant nothing to you ?" Hudson asked bitterly , tears kept forming in his eyes as he struggled even more desperately to get to the man Infront him.
He reached after Eros again but Eros grabbed his arm and twisted it without remorse.
" I don't want to fight you. I'm drained. I won't fight back as long as you're the one attacking. I don't have the heart to raise my fists to fight you." Hudson pleaded to his Master with all his emotions spilling over.
The rain started falling heavily , perhaps someone in the heavens was sad.
" You're pathetic and that's why I'll never respect you.I cant stand emotional idiots like you. You and your feelings really need to be discarded. " Eros said and with a blast of power he sent hudson flying in the opposite direction.
Eros took flight , ascending into the sky with his large wings flapping majestically as he left everyone else behind.
They say that the flap of a butterfly's wings could cause a storm far far away but the flapping of a butterfly's wings was incomparable to the damage that could be done by the tears of the Gods.
